Sanctification in the Assemblies of God
The position adopted in the Statement of Fundamental Truths regarding sanctification was less clear. The men behind the formation of the Assemblies of God were Pentecostals who had come to the conclusion that holiness or sanctification was not a second blessing or a definite experience but instead a lifelong process. This idea of progressive sanctification was believed by many within the Assemblies of God but there were adherents who still held to the theology of the holiness movement.
The original language on sanctification in the Fundamental Truths was a compromise between Wesleyan and non-Wesleyan members which allowed the two doctrines to coexist. Under the heading “Entire Sanctification, The Goal For All Believers”, it read, “Entire sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word”. The term “entire sanctification” is distinctly Wesleyan, but the statement actually called “for an ongoing, process of obedience in reliance on, and cooperation with the Holy Ghost”.
In 1961, the General Council revised the statement significantly, giving it its current form. It eliminated some of the Wesleyan language, such as “entire”. Stanley M. Horton, who served on the revision committee, stated that the committee “… felt that the word entire was ambiguous because we were using it with a different meaning than that promoted by holiness Pentecostals who taught a second definite work”.[7] While the current statement does represent the Assemblies of God’s position more accurately, the denomination’s teaching on sanctification remains ambiguous.

BACK to the BASICS: SANCTIFICATION AND HOLY LIVING
Church of the Nazarene in ENTIRE SANCTIFICATION: The Church of the Nazarene is part of the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, which believes in entire sanctification, according to the Wesleyan Heritage Recovery Project. Entire sanctification is summed up on the project’s website:
“It is a state of perfect love, righteousness and true holiness which every regenerate believer may obtain by being delivered from the power of sin, by loving God with all the heart, soul, mind and strength and by loving one’s neighbor as one’s self. Through faith in Jesus Christ, this gracious gift may be received in this life both gradually and instantaneously and should be sought earnestly by every child of God.”
While most denominations believe in sanctification, many Protestant churches don’t believe that Scripture says entire sanctification is possible while living in a fallen world that is under the curse of sin. These denominations believe that entire sanctification only takes place when Christians go to heaven and God makes them new in both body and spirit.

Well in the Classical view regeneration occurred simultaneously with justification, this is the “New Birth” or “Born Again” and marks the beginning of sanctification. To the point that we can concluded that a consequence of the new birth is power over sin.
In other words; a Christian is so far perfect as not to commit sin. However this no a belief in an absolute “sinless” perfection. As well live out the grace of God we understand that entire sanctification is not something labor for, understanding that entire sanctification is a work of grace received by faith that removed inbred or original sin, and this allows Christians to enter a state of perfect love, or clean heart.

Angel Ruiz if you would have showed one scripture it would give you credence. You could use 1 John 2:1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. — It is interesting to see that John wrote that sin not in Second Aorist Active Subjunctive. The subjunctive stipulates the possible and the potentiality of the action. Active is the subject doing the action (the you) and second aorist is the same as the regular aorist
Regardless of how we view this, John wants us to be mindful of sin and not commit it. If sin is inevitable for us, it is not because God has decreed that we must sin. All the resources for spiritual victory are ours in Jesus Christ and that resource is never withdrawn.If we do, So perhaps should not sin is another translation. Why would the possibility be given if we can’t avoid.
There is so much more here dealing with our personal relationship with God and thus sin. But it would be helpful if you used the bible.

KEY PART HERE “PRACTICE THE TRUTH”. NOW THE TURTH IS THE GOSPEL, SO FOR US TO PRACTICE THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL WE MUST NOT HIDE OUR SIN FROM GOD OR KEEP SOME AREAS OF OUR LIFE IN THE SHADOW OF THE DARK.

THE ONLY WAY FOR TRUE FELLOWSHIP IS TO HE TRANSPARENT AND THAT IS WHAT THE GOSPEL IS ALL ABOUT.
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
HERE WE HAVE A CHANGE IN VERSE 6 WE ARW TOLD THAT IF WE HIDE OUR SIN WE ARE NOT PRACTICING THE TRUTH (THE GOSPEL), BUT HERE IF CLAIM THAT WE HAVE NO SIN THAT WE HAVE NOT TRUTH, WE DONT HAVE THE GOSPEL TRUTH.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You are washed in the blood of Christ and surrendered to do His will or you’re not. It’s just that simple. All this Greek and scholarship is good in its place but we are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ. The old man of sin and rebellion has walked the del a rosa and been crucified with Christ. Sin has gone the way of cursing and every other nasty habit including doubt and unbelief or you are still that old schister you ever were.
