In Luke 4:8, many Bible translations use Lord as the word spoken to Satan as the one worthy of worship. Those words are a direct quote by Jesus from the Old Testament that clearly indicated ‘Yahweh’ or ‘Jehovah’. There is no Adonay or the like in the Hebrew text sourced. So regardless of whatever traditions Jewish scribes or other bible translators have, Jesus will never be affected and will stay truthful.

= But Jesus answered,
“It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’ ”
