One Lord, One Faith One Baptism Ephesians 4:5
David L Lamon 1/9/2020

Many will fall away in these last days according to the scripture, so I want to share something with you maybe it is not known but should be. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

Ephesians 4:4 (KJV) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.

Ephesians 4:6 (KJV) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. He is speaking to a church that accepted and received the teaching about the plan of salvation found in Acts 2:38 that is a reiteration of Jesus commanded in John 3:5.

Although the bible is clear the Lord has one Jesus, one gospel and one baptism. The question Job asked I will extend to the gospel and baptismal formula given us in the scripture. Job asked, will ye accept his person meaning the robe of flesh he wrapped around his spirit and walked among us calling it the Son of God, which is denoting the flesh God manifest himself to us. 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

2 Corinthians 11:4 (KJV) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

1 Corinthians 12:3 (KJV) Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. I hope you got that. You can proclaim all the day long Jesus is Lord but the only way it is accepted in the kingdom of God is if one has been baptized in the Holy Ghost of God.

Galatians 1:8 (KJV) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

But in America there is a horn of plenty and that is why I ask what the apostle did…1 Corinthians 14:26 (KJV) How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

The unity of the spirit is important, so many going their own way are creating confusion to the unlearned. From the beginning of the church they established this unity Acts 2:1 (KJV) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:42-44: 42 And a they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common.

I have no doubt nothing upsets the Lord more than one claiming to be Christian and yet pushing a false doctrine leading many astray. Matthew 23:24 (KJV) Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Jesus in this passage associated those teaching false doctrines to be of the same spirit as the Pharisees and Scribes.

Paul explained the spirit behind these people. Romans 10:2-3 (KJV) For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

That’s why he said, I would thou wert cold or hot but because you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth. The Apostle put in this I would just every one of you, which gospel are you going to follow man’s or God’s. The Lord has something to say about that. Isaiah 29:13 New International Version (NIV)
13 The Lord says:

“These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

It is a fact, these people that have strayed from the Apostle’s Doctrine will not be saved, it is that simple because without the spirit of Christ you are none of his. That’s what he said, not me.

Conclusion

Many more scriptures could be used to prove the point but this is enough to convince the person truly searching for the truth to know he/she must find a Oneness Pentecostal Church such as the United Pentecostal Church to be sure you are getting the Apostle’s Doctrine.
