| PentecostalTheology.comBut you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” (Daniel 12:4 NIV)
Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. (Revelation 22:10 NIV)
Although the instructions given by the angel to Daniel and John were separated by about 500 years, more than 2000 years have passed since then and the end times have yet to happen. What could be the reason for the change in the instructions regarding the sealing of the prophecies?

The verse this article quoted from Revelation 22.10 explains why the prophecy of the end times in Revelation is not sealed.
“…because the time is near” Revelation 22:10
The main reason I think it says because the time is near is because the Messiah had already come, so the world has been in a different state since then. There are other verses that use this same or similar language – “because the end is near.”
“The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.” 1 Peter 4:7 (NIV)
I’m not sure about why the prophecy in Daniel was sealed. If we go with the same logic as why the prophecy in Revelation wasn’t sealed, it would be because the Messiah had not yet come. Think of how much was revealed in the New Testament that wasn’t in the Old – or at least it was quite hidden.
I’m not sure if this is part of the reason the prophecy in Revelation was sealed. Like I said, I’m just following the logic of why the book of Revelation says the book should not be sealed.

Troy Day – what does that have to do with the prophecies in Daniel & Revelation?

Ben Bottke well thatS a great question. Little horn comes to mind from when we discussed this with William DeArteaga Link Hudson how do you see it? Do you see Babylon being America like Philip Williams does

Troy Day maybe the people behind the media propaganda are more clever than I thought. It seems kind of idiotic and over the top to call the storming of the US Capitol by random protesters a an insurrection. From what I gather from Trump’s speech he did not encourage people to go into the US Capitol. But the media has gotten people used to hearing that incident being called the insurrection. After hearing this propaganda for several years when someone proposes that Trump can’t run for president because the 14th Amendment mentions insurrectionists then it doesn’t sound as crazy as it would have if they hadn’t used the word Insurrection for 4 years to refer to trespassers in the capital and tried to pin the blame on Trump. maybe his rhetoric wasn’t careful enough for the sake of public safety but it’s not like he actually planned a literal insurrection against the government that involved storming the Capitol.
Clever use of propaganda to influence an election, left wing media

Revelation 10:4 …seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

Jeffrey Snyder are you trying to tell us something abut Trump?
Anonymous
As Jeffrey Snyder notes, John was told also to not write some things he heard.
There are simply things that God doesn’t want everything shared with everyone.
Every Pastor eventually finds the wisdom in that.

Presidential debate
Five Republicans have qualified for the third 2024 presidential debate set for Wednesday in Miami. They are former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott. Missing from the debate stage will be North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who both failed to meet the criteria. Former Vice President Mike Pence, who qualified for the first two debates, dropped out of the Republican primary last month. Donald Trump, the front-runner, is skipping the debate as he did the two previous ones. He is slated to host a rally in South Florida as counterprogramming instead. https://www.cnn.com/…/5-things-to-know-for…/index.html https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/07/us/5-things-to-know-for-nov-7-trump-trial-israel-presidential-debate-actors-strike-ukraine/index.html?fbclid=IwAR0AJg9vNXfvkF1gVCJ3PxdAiWqySUQY7ahgjuHIaPed0ziXLbPgN217Kls
