Matthew 24:19, Mark 13:17, Luke 21:23. A mark of the end times is reproductive technologies connected with the Abomination that Causes Desolation, or whatever it is behind the concern about “pregnant and nursing women in those days.” Mandrakes were used in the Bible without a problem by Rachel and Leah. Something else is here as it ALL refers to ISRAEL

Matthew 24:21-22 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. – it ALL refers to ISRAEL

    Duane L Burgess rightly posted
Yes, Matt 24 is about ethnic national Israel in the future Tribulation, her time of Jacob’s trouble. It’s not about the Church.
The Church is a mystery (Eph. 3) being revealed beginning at Pentecost.

AND of course this counts for Lk21 Mk13 as I ‘ve been trying to explain to Brett Dobbs Oscar Valdez and several others

Troy Day Israel is indeed the center point of focus. Those who are in Judea will flee when the abomination of desolation occurs. Why will it be bad if it’s on a sabbath day?

I’ve been told that Israel shuts down on the sabbath. Even some elevators are programmed to not work on the sabbath. Shops close. Transportation shuts down.
That will make it very difficult. But over all there is more to this story.

Revelation 12:14-17 (KJV) 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Brett Dobbs you mean her child being Jesus and remnant being messianic Jews or what? Usually They combine Jesus with Mary

Troy Day the remnant of Jesus are those who have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Perhaps it was it will be those that when Jesus returns he find faith in them.

Brett Dobbs I do BUT what do you say about the 24 elders which is the OP here to discuss before us

Troy Day Revelation 5 says the 24 elders along with the 4 living creatures are holding harps, and golden vials full of odors which is the prayers of the saints. And then it says that they are of those who have been redeemed out of every kindred, tongue, and nation. They’ve been made kings and priest and will rule and reign with Christ.

Since these have been redeemed out of every nation meaning there could be an American, Roman, African, etc. tells me that these are elders who have went to heaven sometime after the great commission went forth to spread the gospel through out the world. So these are from the New Testament era. Which has been going forth for the last nearly 2,000 years.
We also know that they have received crowns. That is a heavenly reward.

      Why 24?
      How did they get there?
      Who are they exactly?
      What do they represent?

      We can only speculate.

Brett Dobbs redeemed out of every kindred, tongue, and nation is NO speculations at all This is very very specific NT terminology

the 5 NT crowns are described by PAUL – they are not a speculation

They’ve been made kings and priest IS also very specific NT language referring to the church Philip Williams can tell you paul like or peter used it in the NT writ

and John Mushenhouse Michael Chauncey Neil Steven Lawrence can add more

Troy Day all those you just mentioned I’ve already mentioned.

When Christians die they go to heaven. So these 24 elders must be pretty important Christians to be mentioned out of the millions who are already there.

Passages that relate to ethnic national Israel in Daniel’s 70th week, not the Church.
