All of us as believers are meant to hear the Lord, but many don’t. As with any communication in a relationship, prayer is a two-way street.
Communing with the Lord, as I see it, isn’t complicated. It is a matter of faith, and comes from spending time in His presence where we can still our hearts from distractions. We can come into His presence any time we are paying attention to and are in awareness of Him.
With practice and prayer, we can more and more be aware of His presence and commune with Him all through the day, even while we are otherwise engaged. That is truly a good goal to have, and is mine.
A Good Goal
Prov. 3:5-6 applies: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”
When we trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him, when we don’t have our own agenda and have been in prayer, we can have faith that we are hearing Him and not the voice of our own mind. In these times of communion with the Lord, we can safely and confidently hear His direction.
Of course, because His voice is filtered through our own minds, to know it is Him, we need to be sure that it is in accordance with scripture and witnesses to our spirit.
Of course, we must never be presumptuous or come across in some way superior in our dealings with others. That isn’t love. But, neither do we want to deny the truth that we can hear God’s voice. It is usually that “still small voice” to our spirit that we need to learn to tune into by faith. For the sake of others, I try to remember not to say “God told me,” but “I believe God is saying,” or “I sense in my spirit.”

not the point at all . but something as important as believers getting the will of God for their life and walking in victory and obedience is .
I’ve only tried bring a different look at an old problem . which you yourself questioned .

We just don’t see it the same way . I see it as systemic error ..which is what you claimed you wanted to address . but you’ve moved on ..fine . now it’s your big (no more church as usual ) let me know how that turns out .
