Catholicism came later in church history and has extra/contrabiblical views in addition to biblical ones. The pope, tradition, church are not infallible, so a biblical test (Berean) is the most valid. It is possible to be a Christian and Catholic, but one would be better off in a more biblical, Christ-centered evangelical church (more Protestant).

The trinity is biblical and predates Catholicism. Catholics are right about the trinity, but so are most Protestants and Orthodox. There is much more to being a Catholic than affirming the trinity.

Catholics have extra/contrabiblical views in addition to biblical ones. It is not the best expression of biblical, historical, orthodox Christinity. While it is possible to be Catholic and regenerate, many are nominal and religous only (without relationship with God in Christ).

Number 6 said don’t give God an inch. I guess I didn’t ever think about that would keep you from Catholic. Actually I thought it was just trying to be funny. I have got to find out when you are serious or just making statements.

Is this a joke? Some of my dearest friends are Catholic who converted to Assembly of God after we became close friends. I was never, ever tempted to become Catholic. It works the other way around

How about the best way of,
Knowing what you believe personally and why?

That is what keeps me from converting to anything that I don’t see in the Bible or believe for that reason.

You are not suppose to convert to anything else other than what is in the Bible.

Before I would offend anybody I would not make any statements on here. Because we are suppose to Believe in the whole Bible rightly divided. My whole reason of being on here is to help someone find Jesus or if someone is discouraged I maybe could help encourage them. But about Catholic. You have to Confess your sin to Jesus , and not an earthly priest. Jesus died for the forgiveness of our sins. Not a earthly man. Not an animal except I the Old Testament. Every year. Until The Spotless Lamb of Came into the to give His Life once And For All. He said I’m the way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father But By Me. It’s The Holy Bible I believe. The written Word Of God.

Catholics who converted to Assembly of God? Do they still believe in infant baptism, transubstantiationism and papal infallibility?
