And she needs to sit down and shut up – there has never, ever, been a time when the Lord Jesus Christ was just a man – before time was – in eternity past and forever – He is God. Remember when Jesus went up to Jeruslem, to the temple? On the way back home Joseph and Mary realized He was not with them so they went back to Jerusalem and found Him with the scribes and priests and when they asked Him why He had not started home with everyone else He told them that He had been attending to His Father’s business. Even then, as a child, clothed in a human body like the rest of us, He knew He was the Son of God.

The OP (what Victoria Osteen said) was blasphemous. I was pointing that out.
Washer was saying that people so often believe themselves to be saved simply because they repeated a prayer. And that is true. People have believed that. The âsinnerâs prayerâ is merely a TOOL. There is no saving power in it. Itâs not a bad thing, as long as one recognizes that just because they repeated it does not automatically makes them saved. Washer himself would affirm that.

I just don’t understand why people fight repentance in soteriology . repentance is a gift . I got saved praying the sinners prayer . a army buddy walked me down the Romans road. Made perfect sense to me . I knew I was a sinner . Jesus saved me . I got a miracle . my life has had its ups and downs sure . but Jesus never let go of me . he always hears the cry of the humble . The sinners prayer is something I have done thousands of times leading people to Jesus in evangelism. But the sinners prayer does not save them, it only establishes a breakpoint and going from lack of commitment to commitment in Jesus.
I agree that The method by which it is used has distorted peoples view of commitment in the Christian walk.
Sadly, many people give more effort in âordering a latteâ than in following Jesus.
