According to Scripture water baptism is a step of obedience following one’s profession of faith in Christ. It is symbolic, a remembrance, a testimony.
There is no “power” in baptism.
The only power in Baptism is the regeneration and indwelling of the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation.
Water baptism is only a symbol.
We are saved by grace through God’s gift of saving faith.
