THE GOLD HAS LOST ITS LUSTER –Ray E Horton

After reading Lamentations 4, the Lord gave me a message, speaking to my heart, with prophetic words intermixed.

How the gold has lost its luster,
the fine gold become dull!
The sacred gems are scattered
at every street corner.

How the precious children of Zion,
once worth their weight in gold,
are now considered as pots of clay,
the work of a potter’s hands!” (Lam. 4:1-2)

To God’s People

If the gold has lost its luster, polish it, for the gifts of God are worth their weight in gold. We have clay pots, but also golden vessels. Shine them up for yourself and all to see. Let the words of our mouths acknowledge the gifts and the Giver.

Be not like an ostrich, but look up, gather in the sacred gems that have been scattered, and praise the Lord. God gives us gifts to fulfill His purposes. Be good stewards – protect them and use them. Stand up and fight, using our authority in Jesus’ name, and the battle will be won, and we shall overcome.

We cannot win the battle without joining the battle. The enemy can’t be appeased. Are we afraid to stand up, should we be hurt? If we roll over and cower, we’ll surely be hurt. But when we stand, the Lord and the forces of heaven stand with us until we have the victory.

So, say “enough is enough,” stand and fight in the power of His might. And, I am with you always, says the Lord.

My response

We cannot win the battle without joining the battle. The enemy can’t be appeased. Are we afraid to stand up, should we be hurt? If we roll over and cower, we’ll surely be hurt

Lord, I’ll shine up the gold, pick up the gems. You’ve been faithful to me lifelong – protected me, put your life in me and given me home in a prosperous nation. You’ve gifted me with a spirit of reconciliation and love. You’ve shown me secrets many don’t know. You’ve given me with loyalty, enthusiasm and a great desire for more of you.

Let us live anew to do the works of the Lord. Enemy be gone, in Jesus Name! Stand guard on the ramparts with the sword of the Word of God in hand, and the shield of faith raised, wearing the helmet of salvation and the belt of truth (Eph. 6). The Lord says: “No enemy formed against you shall prosper. Shout forth with a voice of triumph and see the enemy fall and scatter. And as you, with Me in your heart, arise and command the enemy to flee, so you will see the victory.”

The battle was won in my life even as a small child, as I took to heart my mother’s words, “Just trust Jesus.” The battle took place over fear, having dreams as a small child with images of fires and serpents. I overcame in Jesus name, and was healed, and God’s hand was upon me. And when I hungered and thirsted for more, He brought me to a new level as I daily went to the sanctuary at lunchtimes, and He fed me, and I received the fullness of the Holy Spirit. He immediately led me and guided me.

So, shine off the gold and pick up the gems, and pick up where you left off, and see the fruit, the joy, the miracles, the love, the victory come to pass.

“As you shine the gold and pick up the gems, you are even now helping to build your mansion in heaven. For with the luster of the gifts refined, you will no longer fear but be bold, acting on the compassion and love that I placed within you. Speak, write, live a life that will win souls to Me and My Kingdom.

God Will Call You the Great One

“Do you not know that the polished gold and gathered gems will shine forth and reflect the light of My love, the light that dissolves all darkness, the light that reveals Me and My Kingdom, and brings warmth and health, and shows things as they are, as I see them, even shows you from My Word, like a mirror, who you are in Me. As you heed My Word, I call each of you ‘the great one,’ a king with majesty, a priest with holiness, and a prophet bringing forth My Word.”

“Although you have been humbled and see your weakness in the flesh to effect change and have success, I call you ‘the great one,’ for you are great in My eyes. Now, humbly but truly act out of that revelation as one of My great sons and daughters, wielding the scepter of truth and issuing forth my love. Declare it so, and so it shall be as you follow Me.
