Athanasius of Alexandria translates :
… the everlasting father … [Isaiah 9:6 KJV]
as :
… Father of the coming age … [‘On Luke 10:22’ from Select Works and Letters (1) ].
I notice that Robert Young translates this as :
… Father of eternity … [YLT].
Does the Hebrew (Masoretic Text) support Athanasius’ rendering ?

It is an interesting debate. I am not sure whether there was another agenda but it does not present as a severe challenge to the whole of Scripture. Adam Clarke wrote it this way: The everlasting Father – “The Father of the everlasting age”] Or אבי עד Abi ad, the Father of eternity. The Septuagint have μεγαλης βουλης Αγγελος, “the Messenger of the Great Counsel.” But instead of אבי עד Abi ad, a MS. of De Rossi has אבעזר Abezer, the helping Father; evidently the corruption of some Jew, who did not like such an evidence in favour of the Christian Messiah.

Jose Salinas is denying who/what Jesus is ( a divine person in a trinitarian Godhead) denial of who Jesus is and thus excludes one from salvation. Is it not just a form of Godliness, but it is a denial of Biblical truth. The question is how far can one get before they have not the faith once delivered to the saints and thus no salvation. I agree we must have mercy on those who doubt as Jude says, but mercy is not saying one is right or in the Kingdom. Jude tells us to yank some from the fire.
