Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed?

Evangelist Jimmy Callaway [09/20/2015 9:51 PM]
YES AND AMEN.

Charles Page [09/20/2015 10:18 PM]
We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

Emmett Smith [09/20/2015 10:20 PM]
Two distinct experiences~

Evangelist Jimmy Callaway [09/20/2015 10:20 PM]
YEAH, BUT PAUL TOLD THEM HOW IT ALL TAKES PLACE. AMEN.

Emmett Smith [09/20/2015 10:21 PM]
YES~~

Charles Page [09/20/2015 10:24 PM]
baptism of the Holy Spirit at regeneration; baptism with fire, sanctification by believing and baptism with the Holy Spirit by faith in the promise of the Father and Christ the baptizer.

John Kissinger [09/21/2015 12:11 AM]
Emmett what a great question to ask in a Pentecostal setting. More than 30% among north-American Pentecostals do not have the Spirit baptism. Many/most neo-charismatics believe they dont need to speak in tongues but claim to be in the Spirit even without the initial evidence. So YES have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? #HolyGhostFire

Christopher Hart [09/21/2015 12:55 AM]
I received the Holy Spirit when I believed.

Brian Crisp [09/21/2015 9:28 AM]
The Baptism of The Holy Spirit is meanrt for all, sadly most do not accept this wonderful gift and are missing out. I am glad that I received it but it was several years after salvation which is the way most people experience it.

John Kissinger [09/21/2015 10:32 AM]
Brian Crisp for all saved, right?

Brian Crisp [09/21/2015 10:33 AM]
Yes those who are saved.

Emmett Smith [09/21/2015 11:49 AM]
We have the Holy Spirit at regeneration–but the infilling with the evidence with speaking in tongues is an overflowing of the Spirit. The upper room experience was for all–including Jesus Mother. and yes most Charismatics don’t believe you have to speak in tongues. It is a command for effective service unto the LORD.

John Kissinger [09/21/2015 12:09 PM]
and those who are sanctified…

Evangelist Jimmy Callaway [09/21/2015 7:31 PM]
I WAS BAPTIZED IN THE SPIRIT IN 1986 WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES.

Emmett Smith [09/21/2015 8:06 PM]
Praise the LORD~~

Shane Harris [09/22/2015 5:48 PM]
yes

Charles Page [09/22/2015 6:51 PM]
what is the difference between since and when in our believing?

Emmett Smith [09/22/2015 8:32 PM]
Since can be used in the following ways:
as a preposition (followed by a noun): Everything has changed so much since last spring.
as an adverb (without a following noun): She left home in 1993 and hasn’t been seen since.
as a conjunction (connecting two clauses): Paul’s had several different jobs since he left school. ? Since there’s no more business, we can all go home.
When since is used for talking about time, the verb in the main clause of the sentence is usually in the present perfect or past perfect tense: It hasn’t rained since the end of July. ? He had been composing music since he was ten years old. Sometimes the present simple or past simple is used in the main clause: ? It’s over twenty years since we last met.

Emmett Smith [09/22/2015 8:36 PM]
when
adverb ?hwen, ?wen, (h)w?n
: at what time

: at, in, or during which

: at or during which time

Emmett Smith [09/22/2015 8:36 PM]
A distinct difference~

Nick Schultz [09/22/2015 9:08 PM]
Is there a biblical example of belief/baptism absent the Holy Spirit? Acts 8 seems like an exception, not the rule, hence why Peter was sent and not someone else like Matthias.

smh… I grew up outside of Pentecost… was so incredibly hungry… God showed me such grace, bringing me into the fullness of the Baptism of the Spirit.

And now I see within the Pentecostal church as a whole, such a lackadaisical attitude toward it all. Prayer rooms are nearly empty. People are afraid to be real… which greatly hinders true worship.

It seems like church is to most people an entertainment, instead of an exercise of interacting with God!

Troy Day We as Christians receive the Holy Spirit at conversion. There is a Baptism in the Spirit that is separate from conversion and very active in the book of acts and to today.

Melvin Harter what Emmett Smith said makes little to no sense to me

HOW could someone receive the HS before being fully sanctified and cleansed? HOW can they THEN receive the second time This sounds like some free grace from RichardAnna Boyce

W hen we are first born again, we receive all of the all sufficient Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is based on the perfect work of Jesus’ cleansing and sanctity; not the quality of our work to clean and sanctify ourselves by perseverance etc.

Isara Mo PAUL knew that church had heard and seen the works of the HS but they had obviously NOT received him yet In Revelation that same church is told to have lost its first love… there is a connection between the work of the HS in us and our first love
