GOD TEACHES THE RELIGIOUS HOW TO SAVE RICHES IN HEAVEN BUT THEY ARE IGNORING IT. ARE THEY DECEIVING THEMSELVES BY LISTENING ONLY TO HIS WORDS INSTEAD OF PUTTING IT INTO PRACTICE?

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the Kingdom. Sell all your belongings and give the money to the poor. Provide for yourselves purses that don’t wear out, and save your riches in heaven, where they will never decrease, because no thief can get to them, and no moth can destroy them. (Luke 12:32-33)

The man replied, “Ever since I was young, I have obeyed all these commandments.” When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “There is still one more thing you need to do. Sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven; then come and follow me.” (Luke 18:21-22) .

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lust, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1Timothy 6:7-10)

Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice. If you listen to the word, but do not put it into practice you are like people who look in a mirror and see themselves as they are. They take a good look at themselves and then go away and at once forget what they look like. (James 1: 22-24?)

Ahhh, so, 1. if you are not impoverished & having an “I must endlessly, relentlessly suffer, have a poverty mentality, be broke, destitute life I am in sin then, against God & His Word?

    2. When are you selling everything yourself, including your computer or phone, selling everything you own & giving it all away to go & be homeless yourself then? Or are you on of those religious & righteous people who require that we do as you say not as you do?

    >>>Truth really hurts. Religions & good works simply do not save us. We are saved by the risen Jesus to do good works with His only empowerment. Children of religions like Islam, Buddhism & Hinduism are simply indoctrinated or brain-washed at a very young age & so are harder to open to the truth. What is so wrong with Islam, Buddhism & Hinduism ? Islam un-exemplary leader Mohammad was a paedophile becos he married a 13-yr old girl to be his 4th wife & the weird Quoran encourages its followers to kill all infidels, instead of winning them over. In the case of Buddhism & Hinduism, their leaders came, lived, died & still 6 ft underground. If sinners are drowning in the sea of sin, who can save them, the dead leaders or the risen Jesus ? This is no brainer or rocket science, agree ?

You misquoted scripture. He did not say “Sell ALL, but sell that ye have.” It would be wrong of the Lord to tell people to sell the children’s beds or what you need to run your house hold. Sell what you have that you don’t need to live and give alms, and offerings. Wrong to even add one wrong word that can change meaning.

pls…. Let this post not cause any arguement or confussion here, let it be clear to us that what Jesus was telling the young man there was to sell all the possessions left after extracting his own needful ones and give the money to the poor and needy instead of having in abundance and store them up without any use to him while others are there in need of them and he leaves them behind and die. So pls. I think that was what Jesus meant. Thanks.

    Mark 10
    28

Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

    29

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

    30

But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

    31

But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
