who do we need more the Holy Spirit or Jesus?

Brian Roden [11/17/2015 12:56 PM]
Well, the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, making us aware of our need for a Savior. Jesus is the Redeemer, who baptizes believers in the HS. Both proceed from and are sent by the Father.

So the answer is: we need the Trinity, indivisible and inseparable.

Charles Page [11/17/2015 1:06 PM]
good: the discussion got off to a good Trinitarian start. Let’s keep it Trinitarian.

Brian, I get the notion you think we need the Holy Spirit more than Jesus. I think Jesus might agree with that as well!

Timothy Carter [11/17/2015 2:34 PM]
That’s what I was going to post we need Trinity .Trinity is not jealous of one another.

John Kissinger [11/17/2015 2:43 PM]
The very way the question is posted assumes polytheism

Charles Page [11/17/2015 3:39 PM]
to even hint of jealously within the trinity is ludicrous. three with person-hood and perfectly harmonious. “Heaven’s Harmony”

Curtis Fenison [11/17/2015 4:44 PM]
If you have Jesus, you have God the Father. If you have the Holy Ghost you have the Father and Jesus. Therefore, More of Holy Ghost is to have more of all three.

Brian Roden [11/17/2015 5:05 PM]
In Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form (Col 2:9). See also Eph 3:14-19, where Paul mentions “his Spirit in your inner being,” “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith,” and “that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Sounds like all three Persons equally involved.

John Conger [11/17/2015 5:17 PM]
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of Christ.

Ricky Grimsley [11/17/2015 9:26 PM]
When you get saved the spirit dwells in you? When get baptized in the spirit, jesus is the baptizer in what sense do we ever “have” any jesus without the spirit?

Amelia Lorelei Siple [11/18/2015 1:54 PM]
Both. You can’t have one without the other

Charles Page [11/18/2015 2:11 PM]
if you have one you have the three

Ricky Grimsley [11/18/2015 2:14 PM]
Back in the day We used to say that when you get saved you have jesus and when you get baptized in the spirit thats when jesus has you.

John Kissinger [11/18/2015 2:15 PM]
and what do you have when you get fully #SANCTIFIED?

Ricky Grimsley [11/18/2015 2:16 PM]
How do you get half sanctified?

John Kissinger [11/18/2015 2:16 PM]
good question for our Charismatics brothers Ricky Grimsley
