I picture the demons saying, “Satan forbid that those Pentecostals ever get hold of the truth about the Sabbath and the Torah! And Satan forbid that those 7th-day Sabbath-keepers ever get hold of the power of the Holy Spirit!” ~Daniel Botkin, Gates Of Eden March/April 2001

Satan has got the Church turning her back on her own. One has the power of the Holy Ghost in demonstration through signs, wonders and miracles, the other has the power of the Fathers blessing through obedience to Torah instructions. One operates in spiritual gifts while the other operates in spiritual understanding. What would happen if we ever came together, rejected those beliefs we hold that are not found in Scripture, united what we have learned in our own circles with those of others, and truly became ONE BODY?

Jesus taught that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Satan has been trying to divide Believers ever since. Why do we allow this? God never divided His Word into Old Testament and New Testament, PEOPLE DID THAT!

“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations— “Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,” which all concern things which perish with the using— according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.”
Colossians 2:16-17, 20-23 NKJV

Remember, all Satan has is a lie. If a demon says Seventh-Day keeping would be a powerful thing, don’t believe them.

A demon once spoke to a Mennonite exorcist, saying those Mennonite net caps had great spiritual power… can you imagine how that delighted the souls of all Mennonites?

That said, seriously, I have wrestled with the Seventh-Day Sabbath. (Face it, none of us really keep Sunday as a day of rest. Especially pastors!)
However, I have to say I have come to a conclusion…
The ceremonial law of Moses was all fulfilled in Christ. Therefore, we no longer are under an obligation to carefully keep those laws about sacrifices, ceremonial cleanness, etc.
And Christ is also become our Sabbath Rest. We who are saved have ceased from our own labors, and rest in His. This is the true Sabbath: finding complete peace in His provision.

Perhaps a big sign of the end is people turning back to torah. Isnt the beginning of daniels 70th week started by the confirming of the covenant?

Are you saying the jesus is the “prince that shall come” in daniel? Or that the 70th week was fulfilled in jesus day?

The first half of Daniels 70 th week was Christ’s ministry of 3 1/2 years.

There are only two interpretation of Daniel 9:27. The church for over 1800 years said that was Christ.

Secondly one must answer this question: Who caused the oblation (sacrifices) to cease?

    Was it not Calvary?

No not at calvary. They continued until 70 ad until the temple was destroyed. But also in the time of antiochus epiphanes who profaned the temple in 168 bc. This is what jesus refers to in matthew 24 as a sign of his coming so we know that this a future thing not something that happened in the ministry of jesus.

I believe that most of Matthew 24 was fulfilled if not all in 70 AD. For if no other reason Christ said this generation shall not pass away until all these things be fulfilled.

I have believed in this for over four decades this is not something new.

I have a friend Gary Cutler on Facebook whim I know personally. He has studied prophecy for 25 years and he has a website Rapture Revivals. He is willing to debate anyone at anytime on these issues. I’m not a debater like he is. It would behoove you to check this out.

It all about the interpretation of what “generation” will not pass away. It has to refer to the generation that will see his 2nd coming….otherwise what are the disiples asking him to explain?

I think that is adding to Scripture more than it says

He didn’t say any generation He said This generation.

I read something years ago and I don’t remember in what I’m thinking I Commentary that they believed Christ was on a cloud overlooking Jerusalem at the destruction. Where the got this from i don’t know. I would never preach this.

Although Christ said those that crucified Him would see Him. If this was a different generation who could this be?

Its not adding to the bible. This generation refers to the generation that see all these signs he is talking about. The generation he is speaking to is all dead but matthew 24:29-31 hasnt happened yet

It has happened. Read Adam Clarke’s notes on this chapter he explains it so much better than I can.

Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Gal 3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Gal 4:10 Ye OBSERVE DAYS, and months, and times, and years.
Gal 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Gal 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
Gal 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Gal 6:12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
Gal 6:13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
