Absolutely not, as long as it is done in praise and not to draw attention to one’s self. These people ever heard of a praise break? ?

If it comes from the joy of the Lord, it is more than fitting to dance before Him.

Many churches, pastors, and worshippers don’t understand the biblical pattern of worship based on the tabernacle/temple. We begin with outer court worship–“Enter His gates with thanksgiving & His courts with praise.” Here we dance, shout, and are expressive in worship in demonstrable ways. The Holy Place is the place of consecration with more reverence, the Holy of Holies is the place of awe and adoration, sometimes in stillness or in slow melodic dance. Then we usually end back out in the outer courts, ending in the outer court with praise and dance once again.

No comment but I have. a question:
Did the apostles do this kind of praise and worship we have in our services today?.Is there an incident in the Book of Acts whence they did this besides Paul and Silas praising and worshiping while in custody?
In the past I used to spend nights at discoes enjoying the music. I loved rumba and soukous blues and reggae dances with its freestyle wriggling and wiggling moves..(We African love vigorous dancing..)
Then I came to church and found that location is different but the beats are the same to the ones I left in the world although the LYRICS are different..
When the time for praise and worship commences I just find myself very excited… and really,, “enjoys” the music.. Unfortunately most of the times whem the music session ends I find my concentration on service wandering.. especially when it is time to hear the WORD..
Could this be sign of the old man in me or what…?
