Bishop Jakes, Could You Clarify? via AskDrBrown

Which one do you mean among several theological evolving(s) mentioned here: theology of ministry to homosexuals, theology on oneness/Trinity and pneumatology connected to that; kingdom-now theology reflected political plays with Oprah? Which one do you think it is NOT a theologically connected to a mega church community?

And he came out saying this not his words. I don’t agree with everything he says on issues, but people should at least do responsible journalism: https://www.facebook.com/bishopjakes/posts/10153762174043322

Candace Laughinghouse what do you disagree with?

Candace Laughinghouse [08/13/2015 5:30 PM]
I disagree with a lot – not intended for this post – and much better in a conversation. LOL! I just finished a book review for the journal and headed to spend time with my family:) Have a great one!

Charisma magazine did publish his explanation and further information so they their journalistic work. However, it is not not yet certain if Jakes’ stance on the issue is clear or still evolving …

I think it’s pretty clear. The initial write up was sloppy. We know how journalists are constantly searching for the click-bait.

John Kissinger [08/13/2015 5:33 PM]
so you think AskDrBrown is just another click-bait journalist?

This is what Jenifer put online via Charisma magazine http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/watchman-on-the-wall/50996-bishop-td-jakes-my-stance-on-marriage-has-never-changed

The megachurch pastor was accused of coming out in favor of gay marriage. One headline proclaimed his position on LGBT churches is “evolving.” I reached out to bishop’s office this weekend by phone and email. I wanted to ask him personally what he meant, because we know all too well that the secular media—and the heresy hunters—like to twist the word of godly men and women to support an agenda. http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/watchman-on-the-wall/50956-bishop-t-d-jakes-shocked-to-read-manipulation-of-his-gay-marriage-comments

You are quoting T.D. Jakes Ministries calling Charisma magazine a “so-called Christian publication” via AskDrBrown

John Ruffle [08/13/2015 10:30 AM]
Yes – pls try to put quotation marks around quotes.. cheers!

John Kissinger [08/13/2015 10:41 AM]
