Arise, It’s Resurrection Day ~ by Ray E Horton

It’s Resurrection Day;
Arise with Him.
You’ve died to self;
You’re free from sin.

It’s Resurrection Day;
Arise with Him.
You’ve died to self;
You’re free from sin.

Rejoice and be glad.
On the Cross of Christ,
Jesus’ blood
Was the sacrifice.

You’ve believed, now receive.
His Grace is alive –
Recreated your heart;
It’s time to arise.

Condemnation gone,
Trust His love so dear.
He did it all,
So have no fear.

Tempted and weak
Though you may feel,
Let His Spirit rise up,
Your heart to heal.

No longer a sinner,
Though flesh is weak.
New creation truth
Is what you must seek.

He made you righteous
When He took your sin;
Forgiven and Holy
Is your spirit within.

A saint and holy,
You must know who you are.
He lives within you,
No longer afar.

Trust Him alone;
Your flesh is weak.
Don’t trust the doubt;
Your faith must speak.

Jesus died once;
“It is finished” He said,
You received Him once,
The old life is shed.

By grace alone,
You’ve been Born Again;
Received only by faith,
Not the works of men.

He did it all;
You cannot boast
You are now a vessel,
Holy Spirit host.

The Spirit of Truth
Will lead you instead
Into HIS works
Let old ways be dead.

He gave what you need –
The Holy Spirit, for
Life and godliness,
And opened the door

To resurrected life
and freedom from sin.
He lives through you
By the Spirit within.

Turn your eyes on Jesus
And grace overflows;
A heart surrendered,
In the spirit grows.

There’s a river of life
Within you now
Rise up, go forward;
He’ll show you how.

You’ve been raised to love,
Reach out and give;
In the Kingdom of God
Reach out and live.

Arise, yes arise,
Not just Easter morn,
But each day let Jesus
Your heart adorn.

Adorned with grace
And glory in you;
His beautiful presence
Of life anew.

Then daily you’ll have
The victory,
An overcoming life
Continually.

Rejoice, Hallelujah!
He has set you free
To alive by His Spirit
Gloriously!
