A homosexual man has filed a $70 million lawsuit against Bible publishers Zondervan and Thomas Nelson, alleging that their version of the Bible that refers to homosexuality as a sin violates his constitutional rights and has caused him emotional distress. The 39-year-old is suing the Grand Rapids publisher for compensation of 20 years of “emotional duress and mental instability” He’s seeking $60 million from Zondervan and $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing.

Zondervan issued a statement to The Christian Post that said they do not discuss ongoing litigation. The company’s spokesperson Tara Powers, however, pointed out that they only publish Bibles, not translate them.“Since Zondervan does not translate the Bible or own the copyright for any of the translations we publish, we are not in a position to comment on the merits of how a word should or should not be translated,” said Powers.

Whether or not the allegations are old news or recent the Bible cannot be changed. It was written by men as witness from the Holy Spirit. How else could men across the span of 600+ years write things that were in agreement with eachother. The Bible does not contradict itself.
The flesh and the spirit are in constant battle against eachother. What the spirit wants the flesh hates…and what the flesh wants the spirit hates. The Bible is God’s spoken word and He gives absolute TRUTH! When you live in a society where absolute truth doesn’t reign anymore and those fundamentals are skewed you get free thinkers that attempt to sway the masses into deception. People of the world hate the truth…even Christ chastised the religious leaders that they were missing the truth and would not understand the truth bc they were too involved with the world.
However this doesn’t give us the right to condemn those living a homosexual lifestyle. We are to love them just as Christ does. We reveal the truth and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in their life and then we will see a change in the country.
Prayers and fasting for the nation are needed. We need a boldness to be able to STAND on the truth and not back down.

That story is a year old now. According to the OP, the judge refused to appoint the plaintiff a lawyer, since he doubted the man actually had a valid legal case. He gave Zondervan three weeks to respond at that time. Had it gone any further, I’m sure we’d have known something by now. Zondervan and Nelson are still printing Bibles like there’s no tomorrow.
