What is the function of Christian faith? Luchen Bailey is asking a valid question prevalent in the church today. For Calvinist’s faith has no function at all. Irresistible grace denies a person his/her human choice. If TULIP is right, faith must have no function at all… David Rollings Roger David Alexandre Goncalves Grover Katzmarek Sr Thank God TULIP is wrong

Have you read the Canons of the Synod of Dort, which is where the five points of Calvinism come from, if so you could not make the above statement. Calvinists have emphasised Faith your statements don’t make sense in the light of any Reformed Confession of faith.

Why do you affront to my faith? Respect! I am a member of the Church of God in Brazil since 1988. I was a missionary among Indians, was a missionary in Cuba in difficult years, I lost my wife and my 12 year old daughter tragically. Still loving the Lord and believing in it. This subject has already given! I have almost 30 years of gospel. You will not convince me!

Confronting those who believe in Calvinism is confronting great men of God in history. Spurgeon, George Whitefield, Paul Washer, John Piper, Jonathan Edwards, among others. All these lived holy and godly lives. They were not in sin and are an example of faith for us. Please do not despise a centuries-old faith!

I despise Calvinism no matter who ascribed to it. It makes God the author of sin. That is not my God.

Alexandre Goncalves please tell me you do not ascribe moral evil to God. This verse speaks of calamity which draws people to seek God.

God is sovereign. To hell touch the life of Job, he had to ask permission from God. God is the origin of everything. God is not what you or I think. God is what He is, like it or not

This is why I can’t stand the heresy of Calvinism. Makes me sick hearing people claim such things. I can’t stand this conversation anymore. Repent!!

It should not be allowed to use a blog of the Church of God to speak ill of Calvinism or Arminianism. The Church of God never stood on one side. The soteriology of the Church of God is not a Calvinist nor Arminian. It is open to both sides.

Hey Alexandre I saw your blog but it was in Spanish. I am just an ole Georgia boy that doesnt read Spanish. Here’s a discussion I was reading. If you or bro David can add some new point to it OK but there’s no need to repeat ourselves over and over again http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/sabbath-debate-calvinist-vs-armenian/

The great Reformed Theologian B.B Warfield wrote an easy to understand statement of the Reformed Faith. Here it is https://www.monergism.com/thethreshold/articles/onsite/briefuntechnical.html I find this to be a Biblical Statement of Faith.
