Pretrib is a choice to ignore the plain wording of scripture for an “Amen”

I followed his ministry closely for many years and never once got that impression. Just the opposite to be exact.

Christopher Noel Boggess Do you have a source for that? Just curious. I’m not saying it’s not true. I’m just sharing my experience of following his ministry for close to 20 years.

If you have followed closely for 20 years you should have heard many other things that alarmed you!

Eric Phillips There several things that I disagree with Perry on. One is a Pre-Trib Rapture.

Lol!! Brother Christopher Noel Boggess I’m 65 years old and 3rd generation Church of God and believe when I say he is not oneness. His greatest mentors was his Father a ordained Church of God Pastor and Evangelist and Brother T.L. Lowery Pastor, Evangelist and Church of God Statesman who was very well respected across denominational barriers. Growing up I had the privilege in Tent Revivals of hearing both of these awesome men of God and having them pray for me. The last book that T.L. Lowery wrote in 2008 before he passed away is a great read inspired in and through the Holy Spirit” Walking In The Supernatural”. Brother T.L. Lowery just celebrated 70 years in ministry before he passed away. Beside his Father and obviously the Holy Spirit this was Brother Perry Stone’s greatest influential mentor.

Actually what perry stone believes about the trinity is heresy. He says that in the beginning the father was one but separated himself into three to have someone to love

hm why do I remember something to that extend but you probably mean the GodHead and not God the father; your view of not eternal sonship is also similarly modalistic when come to think about it

Perry should just preach and not teach theology without proper degree. This new school of his may be the next Dr. Brown here-center

It’s the same type thing as pretrib. He starts with pretrib must be true and then makes a case with just eloquent words and out of context scriptures.

Well not really. You are comparing apples to oranges. We dont get our pre-trib doctrine from Perry but from a historical lineage of theologians that goes all the way to the Early Church Fathers. Splitting the God-head however hardly goes to any Early or Late Church Fathers http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/the-ancient-church-fathers-believed-in-pre-trib-rapture/

Sorry man the early church fathers almost all thought they lived in the tribulation and that antichrist was a Ceaser…..under those circumstances Christ’s return would imminent. The early church fathers were closer to prewrath.

Common modern day misconception Could only be changed when one actually takes the time and reads the Church Fathers

Good thing I have the Bible or I might be gnostic, Platonist or believe wild things like in transubstantiation like the early fathers

Yes, you can ignore the Church Fathers. What did they know about the Bible they wrote or Jesus Whom they saw? http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/i-reject-any-view-of-eschatology-that-leaves-the-bride/

Paul certainly knew what he was writing when he wrote 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. It still destroys all pretrib arguments.
