Gay Rights Groups Sue Bishop For Inciting Violence After He Quotes Bible

A Swiss Roman Catholic Bishop is being sued by gay rights organisations after he quoted an Old Testament bible passage on homosexuality at a Catholic conference. His detractors have accused him of inciting violence against gay people, as the passage in question advocates the death penalty for homosexuals. The Bishop has issued an apology. John Ruffle

I’d like to hear the context of what he said and who he was addressing. We had a member if the House of Lords last week and I don’t know why.

John Kissinger [08/14/2015 4:30 PM]
“Bishop Huonder also quoted Leviticus 18:22, which calls homosexual sex “an abomination”, and Leviticus 20:13, which states: “If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” But he stressed: “The Faith is a help for all people, also for those with homophilic inclinations, and can lead to a reorientation of these inclinations, to a control of the sexual passions and to an integration of these passions into a virtuous life according God’s Command.”

So I wonder who forced him to apologise?

It says it in the article

Bishop said “I am sorry” but then he explains that he has done nothing wrong. I agree with him. He was not trying to hurt or get anyone hurt he was teaching the Word. If Homosexual People and their friends are looking for opportunities to be offended. statement reads. “This was not my intention. During the lecture I quoted several uncomfortable passages from the Old Testament to do with marriage, sexuality and family. I want to clarify that I… would in no way wish to diminish homosexual people.”The Homosexuals Rep don’t have the maturity to accept an explanation or an apology. Mr Bauman Pink Cross does not accept the bishop’s apology. “There is no question in this case of what he was talking about—there was no misunderstanding. We don’t need charity or mercy from the Church at all, we don’t accept his apology.”If convicted, Bishop Huonder will face up to three years in jail. That is sad ? Christians we need to pray. We could be need. If it is not the Homosexuals it could be the anti Gun control people OR Mom’s against Something. Pray for Wisdom
