Why the 6th Seal is not part of Tribulation or Great Tribulation!

The 6th Seal is part of the Birth Pains or Sorrows (7 Seals) which lead us to the start of the Tribulation. (Matthew 24:6-8) (Mark 13:7-8). Jesus tells his disciples this must happen (Sorrows) prior to Tribulation.

Tribulation starts on the 6th Trumpet, once sacrifices stop and the 7 year treaty is signed; and stops at Abomination of Desolation when Antichrist in his arrogance states that he is God in God’s seat in God’s temple (Matthew 24:29-31) (Mark 13:24-27).

Great Tribulation starts after this defiling of God’s seat on Abomination of Desolation. Shortly after this Antichrist overcomes the 2 witnesses that have been prophesying for 1260 days prior to this (Matthew 24:15-22) (Mark 13:14-20) (Rev. 11:3-14).

God tells us that once the 2 witness are taken up (resurrected) that this is also the end of the 2nd Woe or 6th Trumpet. (Rev. 11:3-14). The 6th Trumpet starts to sound in Rev. 9:13.

God tells us in Rev. 10:7 that the 7th angel is about to blow their Trumpet, but this does not happen until Rev. 15:1 once God’s temple is opened and the 7 angels are given the 7 Bowls of God’s wrath.

After the 7th Trumpet sounds, this will start the 7 Bowl phase which starts in Chapter 15:1 when God opens His temple and the 7 angels the 7 Bowls of God’s wrath are given out and the 1st Bowl poured out in Rev. 16:1-2.

Rev. 11:15 states that the 7th Trumpet/3 Woe sounds. But, notice the temple does not open and 7 angels are not given the 7 bowls of God’s wrath until Chapter 15:1. This is because the Chapter 11 is part the Prophecy against the Nations (Chapters 11-14).

Remember that at the beginning of Chapter 10 (Rev. 10:1) an angel comes down and gives John a scroll to eat and then to Prophesy against the Nations which happens for 4 Chapters (Chapters 11-14).

Rev. 8:1-2 clearly states that the 7 Trumpets are only given out once the 7th Seal is broken. So, the 6th Seal has nothing to do with Tribulation as stated in Matthew 24:15-22, Mark 13:14-20 or Rev.11:3-14. Rev. 8 And when he had OPENED THE 7TH SEAL, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were GIVEN 7 TRUMPETS.

* God tells us in His words that only once the 7th Seal breaks, and only then, do the 7 Trumpets start to sound or are even given out.

So, there is no way the 6th Seal can be part of Tribulation or Great Tribulation if you truly believe that the order of events are 7 SEALS then 7 TRUMPETS then 7 BOWLS.

There is a mainstream thought that the 6th Seal is part of Tribulation & Great Tribulation.

This is clearly a false teaching of man and must then be discredited if Rev. 8:1-2 is true and God’s word is correct.

Most people cannot place the events of Revelation in the proper order. Rev. 8-12 clearly states the Seals occur and then this moves us into the 7 Trumpet phase. At the end of Chapter 10 the 7th Angel does not blow their trumpet yet (Rev. 10:7). This event starts to occur in Rev. 15:1 when God open His temple and the 7 angels are given the 7 Bowls or God’s wrath. Rev. 15:1 even tells you that he is filling up the cups with God’s wrath. Rev. 10:7 says it all – But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants, the prophets. (Matthew 24:15-22) (Mark 13:14-20). Remember Jesus had just talked about the Sorrows, which are the 7 Seals (Matthew 24:6-8) (Mark 13:7-8). Then Jesus moves us to the 7 Trumpets (Matthew 24:15-22) (Mark 13:14-20).

This is because Antichrist rises on the 6th Trumpet in Rev. 9:13-14 which this same event that also occurs in Rev. 11:1-14, Rev. 12:4, Rev. 12:9, Rev. 12:12, Rev. 13:1-18, Rev. 17:8.

Rev 9:13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar, which is before God, 14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men (1260 days from rise of Antichrist to Desolation of Abomination) and the Man of Perdition is revealed in Rev. 9:15 which is the same event that occurs in Rev. 11:2-3, Rev. 12:6, Rev. 12:14, Rev. 13:5.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

Our Lord then returns just after the 7th Trumpet (Rev. 11:15-19 & Rev. 14:7) and takes His Elect/Martyrs/Saints away (Rev. 15:2, Rev. 7:9, Rev. 11:18) before he pours out His wrath (Bowls) which starts in Rev. 15:1 and the 1st Bowl is poured out in Rev. 16:1-2.

The 6th Seal is only part of the Birth Pains and Sorrows which lead us to the 1260 days when Antichrist rises on the 6th Trumpet and our Lord comes back on the 7th Trumpet.

If you believe that any of the 7 Seals are part of Tribulation or Great Tribulation you are being lied too and they are teaching false doctrine.

Jim Bultemeier you’re about as bad as Edith and Phil Kulis who seems to have disappeared, but seriously you lost me at the tribulation starts at the 1st Trumpet and ends at the AOD.

Come on??? Seriously Daniel clearly states that the AOD happens at the mid-point of the tribulation, and Jesus clearly states that everything that happens after the AOD is great tribulation.

Why can’t you just take what Jesus says at face value and go with that.

Listen Revelation doesn’t give the whole story of the tribulation period, it doesn’t for instance tell us in Revelation where the covenant is confirmed, but we know that there is a covenant that must be confirmed for the seven year final week of Daniel’s 70th week to begin.

So we have to look to Daniel to know that there will be a covenant that must be confirmed.

Revelation does however show us when the Church is removed, that is clearly depicted in Revelation 4:1 and confirmed in Revelation 5:8-11 where we see the Church present in heaven before Jesus releases the rider on the white horse (i.e. the antichrist aka the man of sin aka the man of lawlessness).

Now is there a period of time between when the Church is removed from the earth and the 4 riders are released before the covenant is confirmed possibly that could take some time or it could be that the covenant is confirmed only after two riders are released the antichrist and the war horse.

The only clue that we have to know whether this process to get to the 7 year covenant may take more than a few extra months is in Revelation 2:10 when Jesus is praising the church of smyrna he says to them that they will have tribulation for ten days.

    Revelation 2:10
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

The 7 seals are an overview of the 70th week. The 5th seal is during the great tribulation as scripture tells us. The 6th seal is when the 70th week/tribulation ends as Matthew 24:29 tells us and many scriptures in the Bible. The 7th seal of 30 minutes of silence is just after the 70th week ends and Jesus returns to earth as a dozen scriptures teach in the OT like Zeph. 1:7, Zech. 2:13, Haba. 2:20-3-15, etc. Rev. 8:2 begins another vision about the trumpets, which do end at the midpoint with the 3rd woe (Rev. 12:12) coming to earth for 3 1/2 years.

    >>>Just know the whole picture, ok ? The latest & final revelation of the risen Jesus is in the book of Revelation:
Rev 1-3 : Jesus stern message to the 7 Churches.
Rev 4 : Church rapture of the dead & alive in Christ, as represented by John.
Rev 5-18 7-yr tribulation or Jacob’s troubles with 2 OT prophets & 144,000 Jewish evangelists to confirm Daniel 9 :27 & to the unbelieving Jews, period !!! Many left behind church fence-sitters/doubters & all unbelievers from all religions after witnessing the said rapture will cry out to Jesus to save them & many new believers will be martyred & immediately resurrected & are called tribulation saints.
Rev 19-21 Jesus returns to earth to Mt Olives together with His Church Bride for the millennium Kingdom together with the saved remnant Jews & tribulation saints. Satan, demons & all unbelievers will be cast into the hell of fire forever.
Rev 22 New earth & new heaven for all believers ( Gentiles & Jews ).

The 6th Trumpet War starts , also called the 2nd Woe Revelation 9 – 11 and gives Israel all the land God promised Abraham in Genesis 15:18-21 .
The 3rd Temple will be Rebuilt . The antichrist will stop the sacrifice and offering and sit in the Temple as God and set up the abomination of desolation and proclaim himself to be god (revealing himself) , 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5.
Matthew 24:15-21 : Jesus said “When you see the abomination that causes desolation (antichrist) , spoken of by the prophet Daniel , flee for then there will be great tribulation ( 3.5 years )”
Matthew 24:29 – 31 Jesus said ” IMMEDIATELY after the Tribulation of those days (3.5 years of the antichrist tribulation) , end of 2nd Woe .
The sun will be darkened the moon will turn to blood and the stars will fall from the sky. THEN you will see the son of man coming on the clouds with power and glory . And He will send his angels with a great TRUMPET call (The Feast of Trumpets on the 1st of Tishri , The Feast that NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY OR HOUR) and they will gather His ELECT (Born Again Christians) from the four winds (those of us who are alive and remain) , from one end of the Heavens to the other (dead in Christ ) this is the ( Resurrection / Rapture).
We will be spared from The Hour of Wrath (15 days) God will pour out His 7 Thunders , Revelation 10 on the earth .
Revelation 19 : We will be in Heaven at the marriage supper of the Lamb and receiving and laying crowns at Jesus feet . 10 days later (The Feasts of Atonement on the 10th of Tishri) we will return with Jesus riding on white horses , dressed in white to The Battle of Armageddon.
Revelation 20 ( On the 15th of Tishri The Feasts of Tabernacles ) Jesus will make us kings and priest with Him and He will rule and reign for 1,000 years O:)

Jim Bultemeier I just want to say bravo! I enjoy reading a post by a thinking Christian who echoes what the Bible actually says rather than the OPINION of the many who have adopted the opinions of others.

The 6th Seal is the Day of the Lord and Jesus’ Appearing in the air (Rev. 6:12-17, Lk. 21:25-28).

The seals, trumpets, and vials, are in that order. The 6th seal occurs at mid-week.

The 7th seal consists of 7 trumpet judgments, and the 7th trumpet judgment consists of 7 vial plagues.

The 6th Seal is the Wrath of the Lamb and immediately precedes the Wrath of God with the 1st Trumpet Judgment……..

The seal judgments do occur before Daniels 70th week. They lead up to the birth of GREATER ISRAEL. Thus the birthpangs relate to Israel. They are the wars and rumors if wars Jesus spoke of. Death with hell following. Great sorrows and much death. The whole world will shake.

The BIRTHPANGS mentioned in scripture are the key to understanding this era and God’s plans for his people and his enemies. It is a common thread that ties essential prophecies together concerning this age known as THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS.

The opening of the first seal, which is the arrival of Antichrist, is what begins the Tribulation. The seals open God’s wrath and begins the Tribulation.
