    Italicized words are inserted bc they inserted bc they are being assumed by the translator for ease of reading.

    This is an absurdly stupid argument. I don’t like the NKJV (or the KJV) for plenty of reasons, but this argument is just silly.

      Troy Day Neither the KJV or NKJV are particularly good. Nothing special about the KJV other than its age. And being literally produced by a king for his political benefit.

    Looks like the italics have been removed from the above text,
    And you King James only people are having a fit!!! I been using the New King James since the 1980s. I enjoy it, I still use it today, It’s still the word of God! So quit having a cow!

      some explanatory text NOT in the original MSS

      Troy Day this is actually one of the problems I have with the NKJV.
