Paul went to be with Christ. Some might join the Devil.

And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus.

Elijah was taken to heaven in a chariot of fire: Moses was buried on earth, yet here he is with Elijah, alive in ” heaven”(?)…
Will Elijah come to earth to receive a glorified body at the end of the age?
Will Moses body arise from the grave at the resurrection of the dead ?..
The Book of Rev speaks of “souls” slain.because of the testimony of Jesus… crying for vengeance..The souls are in heaven.and it seems they lost their lives on earth because of Christ..
So at face value the answer to the question where do believers ” go” when they die would be “HEAVEN”
So if Christ stays another 100 years all if not most of the saved will be in heaven…
The dead will be raised, the living caught up ..what about those who have gone into heaven before ?..
      More questions than answers…

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”

they go in HEAVEN – plain and simply Any teaching claiming Christians dont go to heaven when they die is heretical Philip Williams I got NO clue why NT WRight would claim otherwise The proof of silence, as he should know, is no Biblical proof at all

Philip Williams hahah He is pretty good in some calvinistic trained subjects I give him that much But then he tries to cross into Pentecostal spirituality without the actual experience – now there is where I draw the line And same with charismatics who dont wanna leave Catholic made sacramentalism but demand a true Holy Ghost experience – not happening

Troy Day yeah, he sees the Reformed problem and takes a stab at it in the NPP, the New Perspective on Paul. The solution is a lot simpler than his muddy commentary. Paul simply explains that Christ replaces Moses. That is the salvation by faith rather than works. Luther did misunderstand in part. This isn’t exactly about penance.
