“The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those WHO TRUST IN HIM…” (Nahum 1:7) [When we trust in our Abba Father as the way of our obligation to Him, we live a life of dependence upon Him, and are devoted to him; he knows who we are, HE OWNS US for His, He has keen awareness of every situation we are in and knows what is best for us, and what course to take most efficiently for our relief!] “For the LORD WATCHES OVER THE WAY OF THE RIGHTEOUS, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” (Psa. 1:6) [In singing these verses, and PRAYING OVER THEM, let us hold a holy fear of the wicked person’s portion, and condemn it with a secure and lively anticipation of the judgment to come, and STIR UP OURSELVES to prepare for it, and with a holy care TO APPROVE OURSELVES TO GOD in everything, pleading for His favour WITH OUR WHOLE HEARTS.] “Blessed is the one who does NOT WALK in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but WHOSE DELIGHT is in the law of the LORD, and WHO MEDITATES on his law day and night.” (Psa. 1:1-2) [The word “delight” comes from a word that means “extreme happiness” and “great pleasure”. Let the reading of and meditating on; the word of God bring us great pleasure and make us extremely happy!] “…I love your law. YOU ARE MY REFUGE AND MY SHIELD; I have PUT MY HOPE IN YOUR WORD. Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!” (Psa. 119:113-115) [When we make up our minds to keep God’s commandments we must often renew our resolutions to do it: Whatever others do, WE MUST MAKE UP OUR MINDS TO OBEY!] “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO CONFIRM YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION. For if you do these things, YOU WILL NEVER STUMBLE, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Pet. 1:10-11) [The word “election” is from ekloge?; a divine selection, choice or choosing!] “You did not choose me, but I CHOSE YOU and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” (John 15:16)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that MUST MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO CONFIRM OUR CALLING AND ELECTION, FOR IF WE DO THESE THINGS, WE WILL NEVER STUMBLE!
