You must come to the conclusion that the relationship that Jesus had with the Father, according to the “oneness only” doctrine, …. would have been deception. Jesus Loves the Father and the Father Loves the Son. Jesus prayed to the Father, He was sent BY the Father, He went BACK to the Father, He obeyed the Father and did everything the Father commanded Him, then He sat down at the right hand of the Father. ALL of these, are the interactions of two persons!

There ARE scriptures that show the manifestation of ALL 3 persons at a single place and time, such as:

Matt 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (KJV)

Here we see ALL 3 persons of the Godhead. Whereas Oneness teachers would turn this scripture into a deceptive ploy by Jesus as though Jesus had preprogrammed these things to happen, like a recording of His own voice preprogrammed to speak to Jesus, or the Holy Spirit descending like a dove and lighting upon Him, as a deceptive trick, I contend that the scriptures are true and that it WAS, in fact, the Father speaking from heaven in all reality. I further contend that the Holy Spirit in all reality DID descend upon Jesus! Peter testifies that it was, in fact, God the Father, as a seperate person, who spoke to Jesus, not a preprogrammed event.

2 Peter 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

If it really WAS a preprogrammed event, WHY didn’t the scriptures tell us so? God has NOTHING to hide, and HIS WORD is perfectly true! Do you agree?
