(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)

It seems that the forces of evil and depravity just keep on winning.

The globalists (for brevity’s sake, for there are far too many terms that could be applied to the anti-God forces) continue with their agenda as though they are completely assured of final victory.

One of my questions is, what would that “victory” look like, and who would define it? In that subjective answer lies the confirmation (in human terms); that there would only be unrelenting war, debauchery, mayhem and murder.

That is the human condition without God.

Indeed, in this world, there are more than adequate laws and legal mechanisms in place to put a stop to the unlawful behavior within our so-called governing bodies. Almost every country has some sort of a “Constitution” on the state, local, and/or federal level that is inspired in large part by the American Constitution; and they too are ignored, circumvented, and marginalized just as ours now is.

There are now so many people in positions of power who have no regard for laws, ethics or scruples, that (human-regulated) justice cannot prevail.

When justice does seem to prevail and legal directives are issued, the godless ones simply ignore it. And so, the downward spiral continues apparently unabated. They no longer fear God, and they certainly don’t fear the people they “lord” over.

God’s Word speaks to this (no surprise there).

Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful. They invent new forms of evil; they disobey their parents. They are senseless, faithless, heartless, merciless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things are worthy of death, they not only continue to do these things, but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:28-32).

I say apparently. We must remember that God has made it clear that He is still on His throne and His Council will stand (Isaiah 46:10).

In previous articles, I have tried to stress that fact, as I have heard from so many brothers and sisters who see what is happening all around us and are very disheartened, even to their core.

So… why is it that evil seems to be winning? God’s Word speaks to this as well.

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

“Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn’” (Matthew 13:30).

It is a Glory and a Praise to God that He continues to rescue lost souls in this life; and He has let us know in numerous passages of scripture that that is why the evil continues.

Now, more than ever, we see in these same scriptures that the Lord has anticipated our sadness and vexation and has provided a reward to those who diligently search His Word.

“He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, And your lips with rejoicing” (Job 8:21). (Emphasis added by me.)

From the ancient book of Job to the Words of the Lord Jesus Himself, He promises us a hope and a future of joy and gladness with Him.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Yes, this was spoken to the Jews by Jeremiah the Prophet long before the first advent of Jesus in the flesh, but God knows that His Word would stand forever.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8).

And He has told us so.

“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).

Are not all Christians a people who are called by His Name?

Did Jesus not establish the church and promise that the gates of hell would not prevail against it? (Matthew 16:18). The same (and the Only) Jesus who spoke the world into existence.

In past articles, I have tried to make clear that it is obvious to me that the entire Word of God was assembled by the Lord, ultimately, for all peoples who are called by His Name.

Whether Jew or Gentile, whether Christian or Messianic Jew, we will all be one people when God the Father brings all things together as He clearly promises us.

“For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity” (Ephesians 2:14-16). (Emphasis added by me.)

“Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh(Luke 6:21). (Emphasis joyfully added by me.)

“For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off” (Isaiah 55:12-13).

We must set our faces like flint and determine to stand on the Rock of our Salvation patiently waiting and occupying (Luke 19:13b) until He comes for us.

The Lord knows who will come to the foot of the Cross, and He has given us that understanding through His Word.

“For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified(Romans 8:29-30). (Emphasis added by me.)

We see these actions are all in the past tense. In God’s view, they are already done.

Also, I think we can safely conclude that when Jesus made this statement:

“I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5.5).

He included all the Father has given Him.

“This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day” (John 6:39).

Now to the crux of this article.

Several decades ago, I learned betrayal firsthand. I determined never to trust anyone ever again. That was my decided life philosophy, and I lived it every day. I was completely inwardly focused, and I lived only for me.

In all those years, God patiently waited and, indeed, watched over me until the day I finally heard the call of the Holy Spirit.

I (?) decided that I would trust one more time.

“So I fell at his feet to worship him. But he told me, ‘Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who rely on the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy(Rev 19:10). (Emphasis joyfully added by me!)

I have never looked back. Jesus is indeed Trustworthy and True, the Author of my (all of our) Salvation. The Living Word and the epitome of Love. (Love as defined by Him)

Therefore, I will patiently wait upon Him and trust completely in His timing and Righteous plan for eternity.

Patience is not easy for us who watch for His appearing, but, in the case of the Lord, we will not be disappointed.

“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him’” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

I will continue to pray for all those who are lost.

I will continue to pray for my struggling brothers and sisters.

Sometimes I can barely stand to live in this sin-besotted world, but I will trust Him.

Eternity is a very long time.

It will be worth the wait.

For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life:

You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.

It requires that you come before God on His terms.

And, what are His terms according to His Word?

  • Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
  • Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
  • That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  • To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
  • Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross.
  • To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.

God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.

  • No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
  • No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
  • Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.

If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.

John 5:24: “Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life.”

There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.

The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God with all your heart, He will hear you. “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
