[Keep the word of our Abba Father pure, and do not add to it; keep it fully, and do not weaken it. Do not add by committing the evil which the law forbids, nor diminish by omitting the good which the law requires. You shall not add your own discoveries, as if what has been given you were defective, do not introduce, any rites of spiritual worship other than what God has appointed; do not set aside, anything that has been appointed to you, as needless or superfluous. GOD’S WORD IS PERFECT, NOTHING CAN BE PUT TO IT, NOR TAKEN FROM IT.] “Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.” (Deut. 4:2) [If we haven’t already we need to fall in love with the word of God!] “I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it SO THAT PEOPLE WILL FEAR HIM.” (Eccl. 3:14) [Although we do not now see the complete beauty of our Abba Father’s Divine Providence, we shall see it, and what a glorious sight it will be, when the mystery of God shall be finished. Then everything shall appear to have been done in the most proper time and it will be the wonder of eternity.] “The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous. THEY ARE MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD, THAN MUCH PURE GOLD; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; in KEEPING THEM THERE IS GREAT REWARD.” (Psa. 19:7-11) [The simple thing here is: the one who has but one end in view: the one who is concerned about his soul, and earnestly inquires, “What shall I do to be saved?” These testimonies point to the atonement, and thus the simple-hearted is made wise unto salvation.] “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.” (Rev. 22:18-19) [Very good advice, John! Keep the word beautiful and pure!!!]

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that IN KEEPING THE WORD OF GOD, THERE IS GREAT REWARD! -Bill Stockham
