That is not what the article by Heiser you sent me to says. It was about the idea of the angel of the LORD in certain passages being Yahweh but distinct from Yahweh in a since. He identified the Angel of the Lord as the preincarnate Jesus. Justin Martyr agreed with that.

But Heiser considered this angel of the Lord to have a kind of regent role over the divine council, made up of created beings, members of the heavenly hosts referred to elsewhere as the sons of God.

If the sons of God referred to in Job rejoiced when God laid the foundation of the earth, how could they have been men, made from the dust of the earth?

Did tou actually read the Geiser article you referred me to? If you have not, your previously posts make more sense. You seem to misunderstand and misrepresent Heiser’s viees. I am not saying I agreed with all of tgem, btw. But I notice you to the same with my ciews.

Troy Day you brought up Heiser. Read the article Heiser you referred me to…that you asked me to read that was supposed to support your comments and concern about them. I do not think ypu have, or that if you did you do not recall or understand.

Also in the videos I watched for a day or two combined with that article, I see he considered the preincarnate Logos to be untreated and divine, but the other ‘sons of God’ to be created beings, and in certain contexts to be members of the heavenly host.

Heiser draws from a cultural historical approach which would take the divine council regerences to be similar to what Israelites in the ANE would interpret it to mean. Hence interpreting it to be similar to the council if hods in Canaanite religion (feels yucky writing that honestly). Ugarit discoveries were from many centuries prior, though, a possible weakness of this approach.
