Tom Steele Now how exactly do they use that DNA? #HELLO Molecular devices made of nucleic acids show great potential for applications ranging from bio-sensing to intelligent nanomedicine. They allow computation to be performed at the molecular scale, while also interfacing directly with the molecular components of living systems. They form structures that are stable inside cells, and their interactions can be precisely controlled by modifying their nucleotide sequences. http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/dna/

there is of course 300 OTHER LEGAL ways of controlling the masses Governor Bill Lee said he’s used cell phone data to see Tennesseans are becoming more active since he asked people to stay at home last month. That data, he said in a press conference on Thursday, weighed heavily on his decision to issue a stay at home order.

His use of cell phone data has some concerned for their privacy.

“It’s been said your phones actually a tracking device that you can talk on, and that’s pretty true,” LMU Law Professor Stewart Harris said.

We’re always looking for the newest gadget and latest app. We quickly accept terms and conditions without even thinking about it.

“We click on that button,” Harris said.’I accept your terms of service I assert that I’ve read them,’ but of course no one actually reads them. In those terms of service you’re agreeing to that company to share whatever data it collects about you, and that’s precisely what they do.”

Harris said companies then sell that money to advertisers, other companies, and even the State of Tennessee.

“We saw the numbers of movement by their cell phone activity the movement of those cell phones and that data is what weighed into this decision,” Governor Bill Lee said. https://www.wvlt.tv/content/news/Gov-Bill-Lee-used-cell-phone-data–569340231.html

RT Rick Slotboom I recently saw a YouTube video by The Israeli and atheist historian Harari in which he explained that all the big tech companies in silicon valley are working to fully integrate computer technology and the internet with developments in neurobiology. He believed that through this, humans would become gods. The snake in the garden made similar promises, but those who listened found themselves in slavery. If we’re not already in the matrix, it’s coming, so get ready.

//either give us the video OR give us the scoop OR do both 🙂 I had forgotten about this one until the other day talking to Neil Steven Lawrence and it just sparked on me

Joseph Castillo It’s not the typical tech company acquisition. Microsoft has agreed to purchase 10 million strands of lab-created DNA from biotech company Twist Bioscience. The goal is to research how to encode digital data on genetic material.

Yes, it sounds like science fiction, but it marks a new development in how to store large quantities of digital data. The companies announced Wednesday that Microsoft agreed to purchase 10 million long oligonucleotides — or shortened DNA strands that are used for genetic research — from Twist.

“Today, the vast majority of digital data is stored on media that has a finite shelf life and periodically needs to be re-encoded. DNA is a promising storage media, as it has a known shelf life of several thousand years, offers a permanent storage format and can be read for continuously decreasing costs,” Emily M. Leproust, CEO of Twist Bioscience, said in a press release. “Our silicon-based DNA synthesis platform offers unmatched scale and product quality that vastly accelerates the ability to write DNA at a cost enabling data storage. We are thrilled to work with Microsoft, and University of Washington researchers, to address the growing challenge of digital data storage.”
