“Because I”m Yours, I Walk the Line”
Dr. Steve Yamaguchi channels a famous 16th Century French Country and Western singer, Jean Cauvin. Performed at a presbytery gathering for pastors and elders. He doesn’t sound so great, but hey, in July he’ll be 500 years old.
…(John Calvin) was a very popular country & western singer in France. He was known to say, “Mon ami, je suis ‘Johnny’ Cauvin.” Remember that? Church history. Anyway. He sang this song:
I keep a close watch on this heart of mine;
I keep my eyes wide open all the time.
I pay attention to the ties that bind.
Because I’m yours, I walk the line.
