HOW TO REIGN IN LIFE – Ray E Horton

We all know that when we are Born Again by receiving Jesus, we are forgiven of our sins and will reign with Him someday. But so many believers don’t reign “in life,” not being fully aware that they have received “the abundance of grace” as well as “the gift of righteousnessto reign with Christ now, in this life, in our daily affairs.

We can reign with Christ now, in this life, in our daily affairs

“…much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:17).

Rule Our Own Lives

To reign means to rule. The word “reign” is the Greek “basileuo” (Strong’s G936), which the Thayer Bible dictionary defines as: to exercise kingly power and the highest influence, to control.”

We have been given the grace to rule in our own lives. We have the power, for example, to put the flesh under and live godly lives, drawing on the vast resources we have received of “…everything we need pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him”    (2 Peter 1:3).

The True Knowledge of Him

What do we need to do? We need to be aware of and live in “the true knowledge of Him” in us and the grace and righteousness that have been freely gifted to us.
