Peter A Vandever via Alaska Bible College: only when you see Rom. 5:18b in the same scope as 5:18a can you begin to get traction on what our message is to our neighbor, and how we share the message of reconciliation. Anything less sets up (at least philosophically) a we/they relationship where we feel our position is somehow superior to those ignorant of the gospel http://trailerparklevite.blogspot.com/2014/11/st-vincent-and-theology-of-imperfection.html

TRAILER PARK THEOLOGY.? O’ not a good title. I don’t think that he made a good case for having unite theological view if you live in a TRAILER PARK. This Article makes some very good. It would seem that disaster comes after the poor people. However places like Haiti get the news coverage for disaster because the media is slanted. Disaster recovery plan for the wealthy people who have insurance companies to provide is not interesting news. My minister friend is for Haiti (she is here working on her DMin at Pentecostal Theological Seminary she said that Haiti edits the new so that they look like a bad place to live. The government don’t want outsiders coming in to there country; so when a disaster happens they capitalized on it.

interesting sunday sermon topic: When confronted by the sheer savage immensity of worldly suffering–when we see the entire littoral rim http://www.stpaulsnorfolk.org/2010/01/trailer-park-theology/

I still think it is a bad title. What does he mean by:no Christian is licensed to utter odious banalities about God’s inscrutable counsels or blasphemous suggestions that all this mysteriously serves God’s good ends. We are permitted only to hate death …?

John Kissinger [08/16/2015 2:38 PM]
like bumper sticker theology?

Timothy Carter [08/16/2015 4:23 PM]
Buper stickers? What do they have to do with this? He doesn’t address the topic of title which is theology of people who live in a TP. A better title would be PEOPLE WHO NATIONAL DISASTER ATTACKS although he didn’t want to talk so much about the people as to list the event. Nevertheless it was not about the thoughts of the people who live in the TP.

Bugger stickers!!!

John Kissinger [08/16/2015 9:19 PM]

Timothy Carter [08/17/2015 12:06 AM]
Bumper sticker and Bugger have nothing to do with the article.

Timothy Carter [08/18/2015 5:38 AM]
Okay I read the article again “Jeepers” I The following information what he means to be TP Theology: If any good comes out of this disaster it will be to rebuild the nation so that it can sustain and feed itself. Neither the devil nor God caused this disaster. But we are responsible for how we will react to our neighbors in need. In Christ’s Name, Amen. If we are willing to help the hurting and poor people? If so then yes I am on board.
