Stephen Williams Sanford and his Shiloh school I mentioned for you in the other discussion… In my opinion the first to connect tongues and HSB doctrinal and experience initial evidence in America This is the full list if you’d like to further research it:
January 1, 1901– The initial phenomenon of speaking in tongues occurred at Parham’s school in Topeka, Kansas
January 6, 1900 – Frank Sanford’s Shiloh school reported that “The gift of tongues has descended”
1896 – Over 100 people baptized in the Shaerer schoolhouse revival conducted by the Christian Union in the North Carolina mountains
1887 – People falling in trances and speaking in tongues were reported at Maria Etter’s revival meetings in Indiana
1874 – Speaking in tongues occurred during healing meetings reported in New York
1873 – William H. Doughty and the Gift People of Rhode Island spoke in tongues

Cult – yes. But still the first to connect speaking in tongues to HSB Apropos, Parham’s story with KKK and other behaviors does not fall short either

All I’m seeing is dope boys, gang bangers alcoholics and few church folk on Sunday morning. Saturday I little boy 5 years old said. You don’t have any color in your face. These are God’s people. They’re dying. It’s rough. It’s a sickness in the soul called sin. Jesus is the only cure. Today I was sharing the love of God and his saving grace on 71 & Jeffrey. I heard two people were shot in different incidents. The dope boys were flashing gang signs at the cops and telling them to, “get off my corner” the cops didn’t even get out of the car. This is a main Street. God help me brother. Jesus name on our corners and alleys is our only hope. Do pray. In Jesus name. We must have revival. I’m not going to my grave with out trying. Chicago, Milwaukee, Philly, Cleveland, Madison, Detroit. Let every man, woman and child of God mention that name Jesus. Keep it sweet keep it holy keep it full of faith and rejoicing!!! He is worthy. Oh Lord our God glorify thy name in the midst of your people. In the midst of this generation this people. Come on it’s time. Thrust in the sickle and reap. Before this generation falls to the ground spoiled and condemned

Yes I knew what you meant. Sorry unable to address at this time. It is a horrific mix of half truths. I’ve been able to piece some it together. But its roots are pride and identity which is the plague of any nation race or creed.
