“When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “LET ME INHERIT A DOUBLE PORTION OF YOUR SPIRIT,” Elisha replied. “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours–otherwise, it will not.” (2 Kings 2:9-10) [Elisha did not ask for wealth, honor, or exclusion from any kind of trouble, but to be best qualified for the service of God he asks this, “Give me the Spirit that is upon you” (he knew very well what Elijah had was from God, it was God’s gift to him), but “Let it be upon me”, intercede with God for this double portion just for me, so I will be equipped to do the work of the Lord!”] “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet IF YOU SEE ME WHEN I AM TAKEN FROM YOU, IT WILL BE YOURS–otherwise, it will not.” (2 Kings 2:10) [From that moment on; everywhere Elijah went Elisha was right by his side”] “As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and ELIJAH WENT UP TO HEAVEN IN A WHIRLWIND.” (2 Kings 2:11) [Elisha was to carefully observe how God would take Elijah. The comfort of being with a departing saint, and being aware of their experiences, will greatly help to comfort and to strengthen our resolutions.] “Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two. ELISHA THEN PICKED UP ELIJAH’S CLOAK that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.” (2 Kings 2:12-13) [So he saw when Elijah was taken up – now what?] “He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. “Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” he asked. WHEN HE STRUCK THE WATER, IT DIVIDED TO THE RIGHT AND TO THE LEFT, AND HE CROSSED OVER.” (2 Kings 2:14) [This was the first of many miracles that god performed through Elisha, in fact “twice” as many, the last being after Elisha’s death.] “I pray that…he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…that you…may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED TO THE MEASURE OF ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD. Now to him who is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN ALL WE ASK OR IMAGINE, according to his power that is at work WITHIN US…” (Eph. 3:16-20)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that WE MAY BE FILLED TO THE MEASURE OF ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD! -Bill Stockham

I seen people that claim a double anointing, but all they do is shake your head real hard trying to impart something and then I seen one guy touch a person with one finger and that person was healed of his sickness.
