Troy Day Dude, you’re still not getting it…True Christian’s do not lean on the word of man…they lean on the Holy Word of God…I don’t listen to any man when I can go to God…which part do you not understand??? And if you call that talking cheap than I have nothing else to say to you…I use God’s Holy Word to back everything I say when I speak of Him…I suppose you think His Word is cheap?
Again, to say that a Christian can be possessed by demons is calling God a liar…is that what you are doing? Sounds like it to me…because you are dismissing parts of Gods Word for your argument and whatever you say, you cannot dismiss, delete, whatever any part of Gods Word for your convenience.
Do not ask me to listen to any sinner again…unless you can prove your argument using Gods Word…then your argument is void and false.

So, if what you say does not align with God’s Word, then it will be dismissed as false. And I am not addressing anyone else here, I am addressing you, so I will respond appropriately, by acknowledging your comment and answering. You need to open the Bible and find a verse that says Christian’s can be possessed by demons, but you won’t and neither will your little idols either.
If you do not follow Gods Word nor believe it to be God’s inspired Word, then why are you even here? You’re not going to find a True Bible believing Christian who is going to believe a word you say here. ?

Strange doctrine you have. The Holy Spirit in dwells the spirit part of the man who has a second birth (born again) but the soulish part which we got from the first birth ftom parents with all its residues(demons) , need refreshing.. a casting away.
If the Holy Spirit can’t co exist with demons how does He co exist with sin?.

Dear sister De’Anna when Jesus called you were you holy? No you were a sinner like me and Troy and others. He gave us the Holy Spirit while we were sinner’s with our sin bodies so that He the Holy Spirit can sanctify us.
So the Holy Spirit indwells a sin body to make it holy by and thru sanctification.
Yes God does co exist in the body of sin and not out of it so as to make it holy.

A human being is a tripartite being with a body soul and spirit(it is scriptural 1Thessa 5 23)
At conversation the spirit part of the man(not the soul or body) is re generated. This is because God indwells man as a spirit by the Holy Spirit and revives that part of man which died when Adam sinned.
Adam lived in a body with a soul for 930 years then died.
So if we agree that man is a tripartite bring we can understand the theology of demons.
Lets take an example of a house for rent with three rooms occupied by three different tenants.
Let’s mark room A as Spirt.
Room B as Soul
Room C as Body.
The house is one but the occupants are different.. Such is the situation of the human constitution.
The Holy Spirit occupies the first floor.
Then demons the second
The third floor is the ground floor by which demons can come in or go out.
Makes sense?

I will remind you, just like I remind everyone else, a Christian is a follower of Christ and we stand on His Holy Word, if it’s not in God’s Word then it is false.
But I have already given a verse that IS in God’s Word that debunks the belief for demons coexisting with the Holy Spirit in one body.

I John 4:4 is speaking of Jesus in the form of the Holy Spirit.Nothing is powerful than this person.
Remember Jesus told the disciples that He will send the Holy Spirit who will live IN THEM(disciples? forever?) That is my understanding.

I love your stand and argument. It is not only yours but it is a theological standpoint of many preachers teachers and believers. It is a matter of faith and doctrine.
Some years back I met an old friend who had a theology like yours. He was a learned man of God with two degrees of theology He said that in their church they didn’t believe a Christian could have demons. He invited me to his church to preach and teach and there believers with demons.
May I with all due respect end this conversation and may the Lord God give you enlightenment on this truth. :demons do I dwell believers.

Isara Mo it is not just the disciples but WHOSOEVER believes. John 3:16 and yes, once truly saved the Holy Spirit (God) moves into you. You are then sealed as a Child of God and being that God is greater than Satan and all demons, then only God can dwell inside a Christian. A demon can oppress but cannot possess a Holy Spirit sealed and saved Christian.

Isara Mo if you have ever come across a person who professed the name of Jesus, yet was filled with demons then that person was not a true Christian. Jesus warns of those that come in His name. The book of Matthew speaks on false teachers and prophets that profess His name but are sheep in wolves clothing, this goes for false converts aswell. There will be many who believe themselves to be Christian, that will not make it to heaven.
And yes, Satan can walk right up in the church just like he does heaven…that does not make him more powerful than God, that just means he is allowed by God. The church that Satan is allowed to walk into is simply a materialistic building…but Satan is not allowed into the true church, which is every true God fearing Child of God.

I have listened to the clip and it seems the “minister” is addressing the demonic ftom a Catholic perspective because he uses the word “exorcism instead of” Casting away”.
Jesus nor the apostles didn’t excorcise demons but cast them away.
Demonic exorcism is done not only in Islam but many eastern and many pagan religions but in Pentecostal practise
they cast out demons.
My Bible doesn’t have the word “excorcise”..

The evidence of a true Christian is displayed in both faith and action. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
James says, “I will show you my faith by my works” (James 2:18). Jesus put it this way: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
A true Christian will show his faith by how he lives, if he lives a continual, repetitive lifestyle of sin and claims to be Christian, then he is not truly saved.
The Bible defines a true Christian as one who has personally received Jesus Christ as Savior, who trusts in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness of sins, who has the Holy Spirit residing within, and whose life evinces change consistent with faith in Jesus and according to His Word.
A sign of true salvation is a COMPLETE change, not because of anything you have done but because God changes you, Himself…once saved, He will not let you remain the same.
We are told by their fruits we will know them (Matthew 7:16) Jesus does not tell us to examine the fruit for no reason, it is for our safety aswell, so not to be led astray by the wolves in sheeps clothing.
