I want to write this down. Because it was so strange.
Saturday I spent the day walking around downtown Milwaukee. Preached twice at different spots. Up Wisconsin Ave. And then south down Second street which is the gay tenderloin. Used to be all male prostitutes. Come sunday it will be the gay parade. So me and the couple of guys God has given me to raise up. Went to scout it out. So I preached a couple of messages down there.
Then we came back and preached at the Riverside. A couple of hundred standing around.
Then went up the block to the river walk. A long walk with stores bars and restaurants. One spot is the launch. The river cruises. A lot of noise. Boat radios etc. There is a stair well that over looks the patio. A natural podium and when the air is right you can be heard for a mile. A hundred or more people sitting around. A few drinks some having dinner.
What to do? Pray ask for wisdom. Ask for a word from heaven. Ask for a right spirit and love. And opportunity. The fellas said no. I said let’s wait on God.
10 minutes. Nothing. 15 minutes. A maybe. I had an idea Psalm 23. But an elderly gentleman and his wife directly below me. Just got his steak. I didn’t want to be rude so I walked down into the crowd and asked him sir, do mind if I say a few words for Jesus Christ. He said do you want me to come up there? I thought it was a scene from Jonathan and his armour bearer. He didn’t say yes but he didn’t say no. I said I’m asking out of respect I promise I won’t be mean.
I got back up the stairs. And waited on God. When love was on my side and I was to scared not to to do it. I took a deep breath and waited. The the bridge bell went off. The radio stopped. And everything was still for miles.
I opened with “excuse me I don’t want to interrupt your dinner. It’s a lovely day. I just ask for a few minutes of your time. I would like to share a few words with you about Jesus Christ. Some scoffers. I lead out with The Lord is my shepherd. It’s a beautiful Psalm. Jesus is the good shepherd. Jesus gave his life for the sheep. I don’t want you to hear this beautiful Psalm at a funeral. Jesus died on a cross as a sacrifice for sin. A drunk grabbed me got in my face tried to stop me. The waiter tried to stop me. The manager cane out and tried to stop me. I loved them through it. Still preaching JESUS. He died on a cross. A couple of amens. Still preaching Jesus and JESUS restores and saves the one that turns from sin and puts their trust in Him. “I just want you to know the great love of God. I pray you have a wonderful evening. Stay safe. God bless you good night”
They all clapped???
Must have been because I was done lol

Somebody I respect asked me to post. Maybe God will have mercy on us. But we will never know if we don’t try. Keep Jesus name sweet upon your lips and a smile on your face… Your life is always your best sermon.

Great work. Just listen to the leadership of the Lord. And you can’t go wrong. I will commend you on all of you putting yourself in danger to tell someone about Jesus. I couldn’t tell you to go or stay. It has to be God that leads people to step out like this. I will pray for protection for each of you. What ever you decide to do. I would just try to be sure its God sending. Wasn’t it David that prayed Lord should I go or should I stay. In Davids place. The Lord said go. Or pursue. David regained everything. That why I say ask The Lord what to do. And follow Him.

I guess I did t get the correct meaning. Troy Day understands things that I’m not aware of. He won’t guide you wrong. But you still lean on God for leadership and understanding. That’s why I say Bro. Troy Day has understanding of things , when I don’t know what’s going on.

I’m sure there are many interesting things that street preachers and soul winners could share in the great conflaguration for the souls of men. If I could share one from yesterday?
I was on the corner. Waiting on God. I asked him what should I preach? A guy walks up and gives me a paper with the ten commandments. No kidding!
    Now there’s a text!
