What do you think core competencies for an Evangelist would look like?

Ideas verses 1. Love for God

2. Love for people

3. A big Go

4. Urgency

5. Temperance

I suppose a mechanic has list?

I leased a Toyota truck once. Then I found out you had to pull the engine to change the transmission fluid. But remember when you could set the timing chain and change the spark plugs yourself? Those days are gone.

But what to look for? – – – Patience, faith in God’s word.

    1. Be under affirmed covering or authority.

    2. Focus on AG 4 Cardinal doctrines rather than popular side streams.

    3. Get people to the altars in a timely matter so the Holy Spirit can do His work.

    4. Stay away from politics.

I was a full time evangelist in the Church of God for 15 years. I served as State Evangelist for Indiana from 1980-82, State evangelist for South Georgia from 1984-88 and State Evangelist for Florida (Cocoa Office) from 1993-96). One must be saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. One must be called of God just as one must be called to pastor.
