“Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.”
    – Hebrews1:4
By his life his death his resurrection by the power of an endless life by his conquests by his miracle power by his willinness to receive and redeem by these and many more he has gotten a name above every name. Jesus name is above every name

Can a Christian (really) have a demon?

How does the Jezebel spirit influence both church and pastors?

With me as sure as the sun rises the answer is a big YES….not only a Christian but a born again one because there is a big difference in.that..very.
Knowledge and sex are the two fronts with which by which the Devil attacks believers especially ministers thru his ” right hand man” Jezebel….
Control, manipulation and subtle intimidation ..self righteousness, self glory ..ego uplift and pleasure seeking crave for personal success…..a shaking of hands with the world and sharing and bowing to the world creeps in… and all seems well in our eyes.

True humility is the hallmark of Christ so an attitude or character which is contra to that cannot be explained as ” flesh” …especially when the attitude and character doesn’t change over time..

And is the ‘Jezebel spirit’ as much attitude and personality as demonic force?

Childhood wounds and memories things we do not even remember ir recall, ancestral transference of spirits(rights the demonic have over ones foundations…the ancestry and birth connections, evil covenants entered into while one was still.in the world…the operation and effect of evil.altars…
      generation curses
      Witchcraft
      Soul ties
      Rejection….
The human soul(not the human spirit) is affected in one way or another by any of the above(that is what I have been taught…
      Is it Biblical?
Is it written in the Bible?
These are challenging questions…to which I don’t have exact answers….

From my own study and prayer and experience, I have concluded, yes, there is a Jezebel spirit, but better named as a controlling, rebellious spirit. And yes, I would agree with George Hartwell, that it is as much attitude and personality as a demonic force. In fact, some confuse the two, and overuse and misuse the terminology “Jezebel spirit” to always refer to something demonic. As even witchcraft is listed as a lust of the flesh in Galatians 5, so the fleshly attitude can develop into something demonic. However, I believe it is dangerous to go around indiscriminately saying that someone has a Jezebel spirit. I am going to address this in Volume 2 of my book “Is It of God? A Biblical Guidebook for Spiritual Discernment.”

Then for many people calling it a ‘Jezebel spirit’ is a good way and maybe the best way we have in communicating how dangerous is the way this spirit works to undermine the pastor, send the prophet fleeing and usurping power. Pastors need to be alert and not react like a passive Ahab.
