BE AVAILABLE TO BLESS – Ray E Horton

I have discovering over and over that when I make myself available to bless others, the Lord will make the way.

I don’t know why I made such a big stockpot of turkey-vegetable broth, especially with no freezer room to store it. Then, again, I do now; God had a plan.

God Had a Plan

By the way, came out delicious, made by simmering for several hours the turkey bones/remains, adding a bag of clean veggie scraps I had accumulated in the freezer (no waste), and adding some onions, carrots and celery and seasonings. I’ve been drinking it as is by the cupful.

As I was pondering in my time with the Lord what to do, the Lord spoke to my heart, “leave it to Me”

As I was pondering with the Lord in my time with Him this morning what to do with all the broth, and how to find enough people who would take some, the Lord spoke to my heart, “leave it to Me,” and told me to go to the apartment association meeting this morning, which I don’t usually attend.

At the end of the meeting, I offered some of the broth to whoever wanted it. One lady came over and took a container, which hardly made a dent. Then I thought to ask if a could store some containers of broth for giveaway in the community room freezer, with a note on the communications table that it was available.

I went to check that freezer, and association leaders were still in the community room, so I asked. They said they would take it all for future community meals, so I put most of it in containers in that freezer, marked for association use, reserving just a pitcherful for myself. Wouldn’t you know, soon after, a lady came to the door for some broth, so I shared half that which I had reserved for myself.

Praise the Lord! Even in the little things, pray, then trust Him.
