Obviously not every dream or vision is from God. Some “words ” some people get are simple desires, impulses, or unctions of the person. They are quick to say “God told me to”. Which Is why others around are supposed to judge. I believe most of these people are well meaning people who love God and just really really want to believe God is speaking to them. I had my share of”loose Cannons” when i pastored. Most of the time I would try to remember I wasn’t called to just pastor the well equipped and well grounded.they would usually move on when I didn’t do what they wanted. I would teach that in order to discern Gods voice they first needed to recognize what wasnt Gods voice. Was it simply a noble impulse? If so there’s nothing wrong with doing the good deed just be careful what you are ascribing to God. My question is how do you teach your people to discern the difference

Well, people should know the bible and that will help eliminate some “prophecies”. Sometimes you can judge the record of a prophet and see if what they say came true in the past? Still sometimes you just have to be spiritual enough to hear The Spirit say “that didnt come from me”.

Not every dream and vision is from GOD, many a time, prophet, pastors and so called men of God use vision to get what they want and most time publication. When you study your Bible and get more closer to God in maintaining good relationship with Him, you will be able to decern by His spirit when one is telling truth or lying. Test all the spirit so say the word of God. Dream most time is as a result of the condition of mind and not always from God
