And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
– Luke 14:23
Compel: Urge, constrain
Preached in SF today and in Oakland tonight. As always the Lord sent some people that needed prayer. Some prayed for Christ to forgive them and save them. Someone took my Bible from me and threw it down . Somehow not one page was damaged or wrinkled. I had both hands full. one with the mic the other with the Bible trying to get them off me, but they snatched it away. One of the reasons why I never used to take a Bible on the street.
The woman said I agree with what youre saying but its the tone I cant take. But I learned something in the midst of it that I think the Lord can use. That is one of the reasons why I think a sense of urgency is important. That is, if theres 50 or more junkies some of them could be dead by next week. So its important they learn how to call on Jesus to be saved. I try to cut through the fog and breach the mind and reach the heart . In love of course, but with conviction. Hope that makes sense .
