Matthew 25:40 KJV — And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. A few miles on foot. One prayer for deliverance. The heroin addict. His cheek was split open. It was healing nicely. Looked like grace and mercy to me. He could have been killed. The Lord brings us together every other month or so. He’ll be going one way. I’ll be going the other. 3 years now. I look him in the eye and say Jesus name as sweet and kind and strong as I can. I rebuke the sin. Firm but not rude. I grabbed him by the shoulders and break the curse of addiction. Asking God to give him strength and courage and touch his heart with faith and mercy. Thanking God for sparing his life. Then I kissed him on the forehead. Then I saw the midget. We talked. He asked are you preaching today? What could I say? I better get back to Exodus or maybe Matthew. I’m supposed to read 1 John. I should do that first. Then go back downtown. God willing I’ll be there for rush hour. Lots of foot traffic. That Jesus is really something. He’s always up to something. Maybe he’ll tell me. …yeah right.
