Psalm 139:8 (KJV),
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
I am interested to know what the Psalmist meant by making his "bed in hell". It sounds like an idiom to me. Is it a metaphor for death? Does it simply mean having a low point in life?
What does "make my bed in hell" mean?
