What is the important takeaway from Col 1 considering Paul’s use of the same phrase in other places?
Col 1:16 because in him were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and unto him.
Eph 1:10 And He has made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together in Christ.
Phil 2:10 at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
many might read Col as if Jesus is the creator without considering the in and on. Paul uses this phrasing in other places with a different emphasis.
