The verse is Proverbs 2:6 and it reads as follows:

“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” (KJV)

The CEV version however reads “All wisdom comes from the LORD, and so do common sense and understanding.”

I compared 8 different bible versions and none of them say common sense, so why did that version translate whatever Hebrew word was used as common sense? Not that it totally changes the meaning imo but I’m just curious how and why they read it like that ??
thanks for any help or insight
