I believe there is a Twin Revival about to come to America. It will be revival on two fronts. Are you ready for revival?

I’m rereading the very good article you posted on the differences of our man Jacobus and the preacher John W.
If we could communicate these things to God’s people we might just make it…

If you are thinking, “This must be talking about liberal evangelical leaders,” think twice. Someone as conservative as Albert Mohler said it. “Trump,” he said, “reveals ignorance on historic pro-life position.”

If you don’t know what that “historic pro-life position” is, let me help you: It’s the code word for that agreement between churchian celebrities and politicians to use abortion as a continuing propaganda point for each election cycle, never really ending it, and never really doing anything about it. The politicians get PAC money and votes and power and then lobbyist money. Pastors and ministry leaders get their seat at the table – or under the table – of the political establishment. It’s crumbs, of course, but they get to look important on TV. And then remind their listeners to vote for the same politicians every 2 years.

Trump recanted later. Of course he would. The point was not to express his position. The point was to make the churchian leaders expose their own antinomianism and schizophrenia. And he achieved it. Brilliantly.

I am disheartened to see a picture of Todd Bentley or any other NAR figureheads and then mention revival in the same vicinity. We absolutely and necessarily need revival in our day. A revival in the sense that lost and broken mankind come to know Christ in an unmistakable way. In a way where broken families are put together, sin and bondage are broken, habits are changed, and culture is dramatically changed as holiness becomes the way of walking and living daily as the light of Scripture shines upon one’s path. The revival that we do not need is people chasing gold dust, glory clouds, divine gem stones falling in services, angel feathers, drunken glory, angel sightings, grave soaking, engaging in trips to heaven for adults and children through a special “called” spirit tour guides, prophetic words that appeal to the flesh that do not come true, parlor tricks and other such things that the Bible never mentions and this has resulted in a level of spiritual idolatry so broad and shallow that a good number of people follow after these kinds of signs rather than the signs that Jesus mentioned in the Word following them and of course Jesus Christ being lifted up. As Pastor Justine Peter states we are seeing “clouds without water” in our land rising on many horizons. As a result, many have risen that preach a “gospel” that is experience driven coupled with the thrills and ills of prosperity in the here and now rather than being “Word” driven for eternity and walking upright before our Lord. Early on in ministry, decades ago, I thought one had to go to a place and get an “impartation”, of sorts, and bring in back to others. Back then I did not realize, as I do now, that a new layer of idolatry was rising in the church as we placed men, movements and perceived miracles in the crosshairs of our pursuit and called it a revival that people attended or experienced rather than a revival where people change at the revelation of Jesus Christ. This revelation comes through biblical preaching and teaching coupled with the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. It is here that the true depravity of one’s condition is revealed and subsequently changed through this salvific experience with Christ through faith. As a result of this authentic conversion experience, our society and communities at large would then be legitimately saved and changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ preached in, through and by the word of God and the living testimony of known lives changed. Many of the “salvation” statistics we see by big named “ministries” are a biproduct of some coercion of the psyche in a human centered hyped up service as they were led into repeating a prayer that has no repentant basis on the heels of no Jesus being preached in order that they might experience the good life that God wants to give them leading into success. We must pray and seek the Lord to move in our land. We must know the Word of God and not some twisted form or variant that has been propagated in order that we might be biblically sound in all tenants, theology and transactions in this world, knowing all the while that this temporary place must not be our focus. Heaven and hell are eternal realities. Join me in praying for these things.

2 Timothy 4:1-5 states, “I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

Typically when a person leans toward Charismatic or Pentecostal circles, they are led to believe that they are not to question manifestations and practices because after all, “God is mysterious” and does things that “we do not fully understand”. To which I say, “I agree”, however the Word of God, the Bible, must be the rule and not simply an exception. Numerous scriptures instruct us to be alert and watchful along with giving us stern warnings on things to be mindful of. These below are just a few.
1 John 4:1 says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” The Apostle Paul states in 2
Corinthians 11:3-4,”3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!”
Paul further states in Colossians 2:4-10 4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. This passage reveals to us the reason that these deceptions are so difficult to discern.

As one that believes in the whole bible rightly divided and as a Pentecostal in heritage and theology, I believe we must weigh all practices, doctrine, theology, teaching, manifestation, revelation, prophecy and the like upon the Word of God. Is this a lack of faith, no. Is this an overtly critical and Holy Spirit quenching stance, no. I am a pastor, teacher, under-shepherd and follower of Jesus Christ filled with His Spirit that desires to have an authentic Word-based reality in life and ministry that points others along the same way. Perhaps, I may be criticized for such a statement made in this, yet it has taken me quite a while this evening to sort out my thoughts in order to not have them rooted in irritation but soundness of mind. May the Lord help all of us as we move forward in Christ Jesus.

This article is a sobering revelation on the American church going into wild error. The culture of America is the most individual-focused and least family, culture, and loyalty cultures in the world. Does that engender control and manipulation by self-appointed leaders calling themselves ‘pastors’, apostles or prophets? The model of ‘church’ being a hierarchal leadership structure with a ‘pastor’ as leader is simply expressed with new names for the hierarchical leaders. Without community, in which the Holy dove feels welcome in the leadership structure, all is folly and emptiness. The same church is vulnerable because of the over-focus within Protestantism of the Bible as the only authority. The movement has been in trouble since, and I have pointed out how fruitless is the over-emphasis on doctrine in the debates on this website. The head, the intellect, right belief cannot bring life or salvation. https://pjmiller.wordpress.com/2009/03/04/the-prophet-and-apostle-movement-the-spiritual-twin-towers/

George Hartwell I still remember when Rick Joyner tried to quite unsuccessfully respond to Lee Grady column “The Tragic Scandal of Greasy Grace”

    https://www.charismamag.com/blogs/fire-in-my-bones/3975-the-tragic-scandal-of-greasy-grace

The whole situation with Todd Bentley was very very sad Peter Vandever may give you the scoop on it http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/rick-joyner-is-a-prophetic-voice/

For one thing Grady is right: the Lakeland ended in as a real disaster and it’s a done deal. Bentley will not be able to pull it again…
