This is often mentioned by popular preachers but not so much by scholars – where is it in the New Testament ?

I don’t claim to be a scholar. Nor would I presume to teach you. But i didn’t think a Pentecostal Theology group would have a problem with separation. It is a simple spiritual law and divine command. Are you familiar with the sermon on the mount.
Further natural law teaches us gold is separated and purified by fire. Wouldn’t that be fine. No pun intended.

I had an interesting idea. The contrast of ideology. The post is simply a exhortation to seek God the Bible way. In obedience.
The so called law of attraction, at least what I have seen, is similar to idolatry.

No conflict here – there is the Come ye out in 2 Cor – I was referring to the so called law of attraction that you say does not exist – I don’t see it in the NT either – I have seen Jacob and his speckled sheep mentioned but I don’t see it

The Law of Attraction, I do believe, is a real spiritual principle. However, those who espouse it, do not realize it is a corrupt principle. The principle can be found in many OT prophecies, such as Ps. 73 which deals with the “prosperity of the wicked;” a principle in which God allows those who have chosen this world at the loss of eternal life, all the benefits of this temporal, mean existence they have purchased by rejection of their sanctification. ie. until they are “brought into desolation, as in a moment,” and are “utterly consumed with terrors.” Therefore, we are not to “envy the wicked,” as their days are short.

Mr. Link Hudson From my slight experience the practice of the law of attraction is imagery. Say a car or people that you want in your life. They paste them on a board or such and place it where they see it everyday. Seems similar to a fetish to me.
My statement may have been an oversimplification. But simply one intended to draw a line in spiritual practice. Some healthy like separation unto Jesus Christ and his cause, some well, unclean…
