ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐ μὴ παρέλθῃ ἡ γενεὰ αὕτη ἕως ἂν πάντα ταῦτα γένηται.
Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Can “γένηται” be translated as “become” in the sense of beginning “until these things develop/begin” making the sentence more open to events that take time?

Context would seem to control. The Lord speaks of a time “immediately after the tribulation” (v.29) (a calamity so great as to potentially bring the extinction of humanity (v.22) preceded by great spiritual delusion and falling away (v.11-12). He then gives the parable of the fig tree (v.32) meaning that when these things begin to come to fruition, they will resolved within the time of a single generation.
